We went on holiday last week and came home to find my cat ill .She is 17 1/2 yrs old. I took her to the emergency vets to find out she has a tumour in her mouth attached to the bottom of her tongue.She is going to be operated on Thurs Morn but the descion is that if they cannot remove it they are not going to wake her up .Our house is heart broken she as always been there through everything for us and never given us any trouble at all .I do hope she pulls through this ok

Oh Poppy - I can't believe it, you poor thing. I was thinking you'd posted an update about George when I saw a forum post.

 

She is gorgeous and I am so sorry about the tumour - fingers crossed that she pulls through. Jill x

I am so sorry to hear of this news Marie, poor Sony has lived a long life but I hope she has a few more years in her yet, I hope she does make it, she is a beautiful cat, I will keep you and Sony in my thoughts and prayers.

Hi everybody

GODD NEWS ! Sony made it throught the surgery! The vet has got all the tumour out (he thinks) and she is a lot brighter then in previous days .She will have a check-up on mon afternoon again and then in 2 weeks .We will know when results are in if its malignant so fingers crossed .the vet says it came away quite easly and did not look as bad as some he had seen.Its the best news i could have heard really so heres keeping my fingers and toes crossed.Thanks for all your messages of support it really helps

There's no stopping this little old lady Marie - fab news!!! She'll really be milking it for the next few days!!!

 

I have to laugh - Sony reminds me of the Blue Peter cats when I was a kid - I think they were called Jack & Jill!! :lol:

I'm very happy for you and your cat - Sony is very pretty and it's such good news that she pulled through. Here's to hoping the test results are good!
