chloe's mom

Chloe has been pooping in her food dish and water dish lately, I moved her perches that were by the dishes thinking that would help but now she sits on the edge of the bowls and poops i'm having to change her food and water a lot lately does any one have any suggestions on how to stop this.

Chloe likes to be scratched under her wings for a few seconds then lets me know that is enough but then she sits on my lap and nudges my hand to scratch her so I guess it is on her terms.

I have one for our cockatoo he uses it all the time, I got one for chloe but she never used it so I guess she decided she didn't like it but buddy does I unplug it in the summer and he still sits on it, so I guess it is up to the bird.

chloe loves them to I keep her cover on her cage when she eats them that way I just have to wash it lol.

she still likes her nuts, she hasn't had any more mishaps with another shell now.

well she figured out a new game for them it's called dunk the walnut and shake water everywhere and laugh lol.

she is a congo and I think that the one had a big enough crack in it for her to start breaking it but small enough to get her toe caught in it.

we have a goffin cockatoo and a grey, the goffin is my husbands and he doesn't have anything to do with me, but hubby takes him everywhere with him so they are close and if he stays home with me he is very quiet.

I thought maybe I will crack them for her but that would take all the fun out of it for her.

I gave chloe some walnuts and she was eating them and all of a sudden she is yelling bad nut over and over again, so I was watching to see what she was doing and she was banging the shell on the bars and kept yelling bad nut then I saw one of her toe nails was pinched between the shell and she finally got it loose but after that she starting throwing all the walnuts around her cage and said bad nut lol. so I guess she doesn't want them anymore.

hi Kristan and welcome, I think making your own toys are great and fun I have made several toys for mine and they love them when I bought toys for them I payed attention to which kind they liked and what colors they seemed to go for my congo likes red mostly and shreddable toys and my cockatoo likes toys with bells and seems to like any color so that is what I go by, hope that helps and enjoy your new bird.

yes I just got a new apple I phone i'm still learning how to use it.

I haven't been up to much lately, I had to have surgery on my right hand so that put me out for about 3 months so it was hard to be on here and you should have seen me try and clean cages it was a chore, and poor chloe didn't know what to think about my cast she was very weary of it she didn't want anything to do with me poor girl but now we are all better. I have been on facebook look for my pic which is a chocolate lab pup that is me.

I have the Christmas music channel on the t.v. and chloe is having more fun dancing and singing to the music, she likes the more up beat music then the slower ones.

Hi everyone, we are finally back here, chloe is now almost 4 yrs old and she has learned a lot she is a great talker now. we are glad to be back here hope to talk to you all soon.
