  1. Ha to the "make a profit!" I shudder to think how much money I've spent on Timber since he came to us 6 years ago, but don't regret a penny of it. When he has an inclination to bath, I put a 8x8 glass baking dish (heavy one) on the cage floor. With the encouragement of a few ice cubes he will usually dive in. The dish has "lips" on either end that he can perch on easily.
  2. Not so Jay. If you served you are a hero. Thank you for your service!
  3. Thank you for rescuing this beautiful bird and for taking such good care of her/him!
  4. Hello and welcome to the forum! Bless you for taking this poor, distressed grey and for taking such good care of her. The meds won't go on forever, and she WILL get over it with time. It will probably take lots of time. Hang in there and I believe it will be well worth you time. Greys are slow to trust and slow to adjust, but they get there. God bless
  5. I am so sorry for your loss. Wish I could give you a big hug right now!
  6. Good thinking on the ES letter. You may have outmaneuvered her.
  7. Hello and welcome! He's beautiful You are making great progress. I still don't understand how they can so quickly grab your heartstrings, there is just nothing to compare it to.
  8. Prayers for Jay, and for you Maggie.
  9. Wow, looks great! Alfie seems to be taking right to it. Loved the pics
  10. We were actually considering getting an Amazon until Timber had his health issues. Now he takes additional care and I feel that we need to focus on him. Reading your post, Ray, makes me wish we could have one!
  11. I feel for you. I broke a couple of finger bones many years ago. My job included a lot of keyboarding and I was totally in one hand mode. I was very surprised at the speed I was able to go after six weeks of "practicing" ha.
  12. Yes, great video! Also enjoyed the "prehistoric" pic. Hubby always tells Timber "your great great great great grandpa was a velociraptor."
  13. Looks fantastic! It is great that you were able to do the repairs yourself too. My husband and I do the same if it's within our capability. That one would have been more than we could handle, at our current age.
  14. Ugh to the sprained wrist! Hope it heals quickly and well.
  15. You know how grey time works. I'm betting Sterling Gris will get over it, it will just be in his time.
  16. What a heart-dropping experience! I can only imagine how you felt when you saw the smoke. So thankful everyone and everybird survived.
  17. They never cease to amaze. Never give up, never stop hoping is my motto with Timber. Maybe Joe will decide to become a daily bather, you just never know!
  18. There is absolutely no excuse for the way our vets are treated. So sorry you have to go through this!
  19. A big thank you to William for his service!
