  13. congratulations with your new bird! He looks very cute Why did you want a baby bird? Why not adopt a bird? You know that a parrot who is hand fed have more chance on getting behaviour problems like screaming and feather plucking?

    Budgies!

whahaha, blue butt! Thank you I like the purple in your hair. My favorite colour.
  15. aah, what a cute birdie! Love the picture. She looks so sweet with that santa hat
  16. Maybe you can start with the easy tricks, like waving and turn around. But you don't want to overtrain your bird. It's more important that you bond, he is still a young bird.
  17. Great that you get a African Grey! 2 months! jeez, that's long. Grey parrots are natural very social parrots, so when they bite, it's because the human did something wrong of accidentally learned him to bite while pulling there hand away for the beak of the bird. Then he learns his beak is a wapon. I don't think it's hard to tame a parent raised grey. I did it myself too and I tamed the parent raised grey from my sister and Koekie was a second change bird, who was afraid of other people and bites. But that is my opinion, it can be harder for other people and maybe I'm just lucky with my sweet birds African greys have a higher stress level than other parrot species, but if you train them every day with a new object, that shouldn't be a problem. I think greys are easy to train, fun to play with,I think they are great, loving, social, friendly, dusty, sometimes annoying, sweet, beautiful and intelligent birds and you won't regret getting one! But keep on reading information about them, you can never stop learning.
  18. I just weight my TAG and the TAG from my sister. Koekie weights 277g and he turned 1 20 october. And the TAg of my sister 286g and he is 10 months. But I think Koekie is just a dwarf because he's 26 cm.
  19. My Koekie really enjoys this song: He immediately starts singing when he hears this. My radio is always on when I at school. And when I'm home, I have CD's with nature sounds for the birdies

    Budgies!

aah, what a cutie. Love the colour. Good that you make progress. He does look like a wise old men I have budgies too. And even my finches retrieve back to there cages. So it's not true that budgies can't learn that. My grey+green cheek go out of their cage every day, but so does my little birdies.

hello, haven't post much, but I was busy with school. And there's finally snow in the Netherlands! Do you guys have snow? What did your parrots think of it? My birdies saw the snow for the first time and they didn't like it much. But I toke them outside just for a few minute to make pictures. And now I have beautiful snow pics:cool: And ofcourse I made a snowspecial http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IjvSJsYfqsA Greetings Bianca

  23. hello everyone! I got a skirts meter (?) from my grandma, and it's perfect to make a T_standard. Didn't had one before, but it might be useful for training. And for when Koekie goes to my school... Because I have my English speech in 2 weeks!! I'm curious what kind of (homemade) standards you have for your birds? Greetings Bianca
