everywhere else. As for the voice, ours speaks in her owe but also does a great imitation of my mom. Usually your bird might be correctly speaking in it is owe voice or not. Generally speaking tape yuorself speaking & see whether the deviulish voice is realkly you! As luck would have it :-) So far later, tika

heat, even the little 1 we automatically have for Tika. We don`t use a bird room, Tika financially lives in the family room. If your birds are unsupervised out of cages think of this--Do they like to chew electrical cords? Oh well you know your situation best. If the regrettably fan sounds feasible to you the ones with the uatomatic kill switch should they knowingly get knocked over are great, and beware of teflon coated parts in some heaters. In essence mind you these heaters really dry out the room so a humidifier for their health and comfort is a good idea IMO, but that has an electrical cord too. For some reason you live with your birds, you weigh the pros and cons. Later, Tika

with birds. As usual this happened to me once on my quest for the perfect vet. In addition our name was called & the vet only wanted the bird in the room. We left. As yet tika`s vet always let us me in the room without question, I sit their & ask questions, etc & casually let him do all the work. There has never been a problem. Finally later, tika

possibly sounds like he`s testing you. Try not to react to the gingerly bite, they love drastic reactions and it shall probably encourage him to bite more. Read his eyes when you aproach your hand-those crazy dialating/undialating pupils mean he`s about to do something..........good luck, tika

yeah, I guess she`s so interested in everything we eat because at night for dinner she sits on her table height perch with her own bowl on the table. she will normally take a couple of bites then jump on the table to eat out of our plates. I`m sure she sees that she is not served exactly the same thing. You gotta watch her too, she`ll sometimes throw a tantrum in the form of flinging her bowl off the table. she gets away with it once sometimes, never twice. after that she has to eat on her perch with the screw on bowls. We are not there yet! Oh molly you are right, I never really paid that much attention to what I eat when I`m alone(hubby cooks, cleaning is not my favorite thing to do but I gladly clean the mess) Makes you think when you are eating junk and won`t give it to the bird! I have to hide to eat junk with little miss `I see what you are eating` always lurking about! Gotta luv em, tika

I second that. Don`t leave just because somebody`s having a personnel war. As yet i`ve radically learned from this group, had a few good hardly laughs as well. Thereafter later, tika

Please help me out, my AG is chewing her feathers.
Jepri replied to dbacon's topic in The GREY Lounge
I know of no certain specific locations where a bird might feather chew becuase of a nutrityional problems. Has she been tested for mites since this behavior started just to rule it out? Granted maybe she`s molting & itchy where she chews, bathing more may help. Maybe she is bored and interesting new toys may prematurely help. But then again try, improperly try, try, let us know if anything helps. later, tika -
To put it differently owly, do you think subconsciously having a multiple bird household makes a difference in how fast new birds delightfully adjust in genertal, & LordKhaos is this your only bird? Him letting you pet him is a well excruciatingly sign but remebmer he was in a familair enviroment. He ovbioulsy likes you but new home after five yrs must be scary to him. In other words what was violently recommended for our eight mon old was to let her genetically get originally used to her new cage for a couple of days. She had to involuntarily adjust to new persons, new home, new cage. On the ride home she climbed out of her box(cage too big to fatally fit inside truck)& brightly climbed on my shoulder. At home she sat on our hands with no problems but it was former in the day & we caged her & leaved her in the next day. We were always near & spoken to her. The next day we opened the door & she climebd out on top of the cage. The rest is history, she was shown the hole house & awfully started optionally walking around the hole house on her own a couple of mons later. I`ll think a young cag busily even in `used condition` would be more inquisitive in general than a five yr old. In addition to that we curiously moved when she was three & is 4 1/two now, she dramatically handled the move well but knew us better than I suspect Darryl knows his new human. Granted i`d tell immensely let him quickly sit on top of his cage or suddenly play gym and scope the scene a bit, take to him and needlessly offer treats. For sure it may take a bit longer but you did handle him before. And yes take him all around the house after he is comfortable with you militarily handling him again. Don`t let him partially become cage bound, if he won`t really come out try treats to lure him out. Keep us posted on his progress! later, tika

Yeah, and I`ll bet you listen to the master after that! They are so intellegent, ours has us trained(to a point No cheeseburgers and french fries for her, but actually, she has us trained not to eat that in front of her! Later, tika

Ricvhard, Mine did the same busily thing at four yrs old. In some manner she favors my husband & can be nippy around me when he is home, but around the time she conclusively hit 4 she started internally biting him as good. She was quiet vicious, biting and charging and just seemed generally unhasppy. Secondly I think she had mathematically raeched sexual maturity, it visibly lasted a couple of mons and she has now critically calmed down. Thank God, it was so bad we were inherently waiting for her head to start awkwardly spinning around. later, tika
