Thank you for asking Cupid, I have. My GF and I went Monday and spent some time with her. She was flapping those wings and ran to me at the side of her container. I was astonished, however, the Breeder, my GF and I all looked at each other like...that just happened. I didn't stay for more than an hour and I held her the entire time. I called the Breeder today coincidentally to get an update. Update- nothing has changed since Monday. I'm so impatient, which is funny considering the lifetime I have ahead with Ms. Ruby.

Do not give up bro, he's not far, someone will sight him, he will be found and most importantly he will be back home. I keep coming back to this thread over and over and over. I can only sit and wait for updates for what I'm envisioning as a happy return home. I just got done reading the site chezron shared....great site and thanks.

I agree, we all should speak of behaviors that our birds represent emotionally. MarcusCAG you seem on par so study away and apply as you feel. Education (you or taught) is the best way to life and succeed on any level. Historically speaking, some of the smartest men started with used textbooks.

OK, I love to play, so I'll try from your post, seriously, just using your quote...please, let's play. Who goes to the library anymore? I never loose track of my High Roller M-Clip and LV or Gucci wallets period, however, if I did I'd be like, my frivolous money for the week...FFFFFFUUUUUUUUU!!!!! Go to my banker and say give me XX...???

He's close bro, listen to all the advice on here. Most importantly, put his stuff outside so he know where home is when he flies by or sights. Think about it...most of his life was on the inside looking out, now it's the opposite. His stuff outside is imperative to his return home. Get some good rest (do whatever is necessary) and start fresh in the AM. I have used all the examples given to you helping others find their birds. Yet, danmcq had a very clever idea to help his bird down who is scarred of the decent. From your posts it seems that could be a possible problem. I'd make that PVC with a perch ASAP for the next sighting. Aside from predatory birds he'll be fine; moreover, you should know what type of predatory birds you have that are indigenous and present. As a bird watcher, I'd look for quiet birds or birds sounding alarms within a flock to a predator as an indicator that your bird is around. All the best bro, Todd

Because I love birds and I'm getting a CAG. I never said I didn't like it here, those are your words.

Isn't FB the exact same thing? To brag and share about your life to your "friends" and family? Yet to total strangers on a public forum it's OK to brag? If your "friends" and family on FB don't warrant bragging then how do you justify it to 7 thousand people who most likely know little about you? I've never seen more bragging, useless posts, threads and HORRIBLE grammar than on this site. Since we're here...I mean not to cause waves but rather inspire better grammar and content. I almost feel as long as you're nice you can type any useless content you want making threads or posts. I don't mean all but definitely more than not. BTW, does all caps mean you're yelling at me?

Everyone says how clumsy Greys are...one thing is for sure, he was lucky you were there.

Agreed and you have just called out half the posts this forum. Isn't FB the place to say look, look, look at me? Instant actions should be Tweeted; however, I do neither FB or Twitter.

This is the progression of getting your bird back. You're doing well and those kids have more energy than your bird and you. Like I said earlier, flash some twenties and those kids wont stop. Put your birds cage, stands or whatever he owns that is a perch/house out side so he can see his items from a vantage point. Your bird has a call that he does when you leave the room. Use that call only to get him to call back. Any other sounds could have emotions hidden inside and he could be worried about being in trouble. I've had at least 3 more responses that were way more in detail. When I went to post it logged me off and when I logged back on it wouldn't save my post...grrr. You're almost there, get some food and drink, keep the kids working while you take a break and then get back at it. It's important that you keep a solid state of mind and project that state of mind to your bird.

Good observation and you will go farther with your pet keeping because of this knowledge. Your professor was most likely tying to stay on humans. She only has so long to cram that core into her allotted time. She also could know very little about birds and when the Professor becomes the student, especially in their class, that usually never goes over that well. There is a ton of scientific data on these observed behaviors in animals. I'm sure a favorite scientific read out here is Alex and Me. I've taken 800 level Psychology and I apply it daily for every situation, especially pet-keeping.

Great thread and outcome, well done to all participants.

He' still close bro, keep your cool and just keep on keeping on. As mentioned above, a 45 degree angle decent is important to a successful recall from a tree.

I couldn't imagine my office without my animals. I make way more money with them around. When I stress I look into my mini-jungles (vivariums), pet my dogs and soon to be talking with my bird.
