Elvis is removed from heads no matter who Dave even me I don't allow that! Am Glad it's a normality I was a little worried as my partners grey jus loves to cuddle his 10year old! They all try and interact with elvis even tho they can't go near him by talking to him which he does listen and chirps away back at them

Im wanting some advice regarding elvis and my kiddies! elvis is around 17 weeks old now and is soo loving and affectinate with me and my adult family members but for past 2 weeks has been very off with my kids! he used to sit with them and let them cuddle him and as far as i know none have hurt him r scared him to make him this way! if they even come close when hes out he will fly at them screaming and go mad at their faces as tho hes trying to attack! i dont let them try with him now as there only young and he hurts them greatly! its not just my young children my boy at 10 cant hold him nemore he will sit on his head on rare occasion if im out of room but if he attempts to get him to step up he bites hard and screams! my son is 2 scared to even try now !this is upsettin a little because we all love him lots and dont understand y hes gone this way and the girls are so keen to hold him like they used to! any advice greatly appreciated thanx

As you know Rambo is chris bird and I've been Up to see him today and although he isn't exactly his usual self he has played with me and chewed me lol !! He's flown around and then settled a Little!!

Is a big personality change un normal jayd??

Hiya guys haven't been on for a while but have a question bout Rambo!! He's 16weeks now and has always been a mischievous and outgoing grey never still and forever causing havoc chewing sumat he shunt etc!! Jus generally playful and a normal nice naughty grey lol !! Lately tho he's gone very quiet and even slept on cage bottom which he never does!! He jus wants to sleep on Chris shoulder r sofa and is just cuddly quiet which he's not been !!it's great and loverly if he's healthy and well jus wondered if was normal!! He's eating well and has chewed a toy today

heres me and my 2 little parrot helpers my son and my niece!! they both love elvis to bits altho hes quite intimidating now for them he dont just want cuddles!! and here is me with rambos dad !! both birds are doing great

Was easier to get it off My twins than it is elvis!! If he likes it he can have it lol

elvis is around 14 weeks now spinner!! hes still very cuddly at the minute aswell which im dreading when it disappears lol !! love my night time baby cuddles

We have had Billie back at the vets and they have said no way could he carry on he is suffering and would suffer!! BILLIE IS NOW GONE AND OUT OF PAIN forever!! We have done the right thing by him and least now he can sleep in peace!!! Thankyou allfor your kind words and help is jus soo soo sad and upsetting to lose billie but i know he's out of pain and free now!!!

Yes it really bothers me too even tho billies not mine hr still means alot he's a Grey and a life and it don't deserve to be cut so short!! The vet will try but it's doubtful and will cost mum hundreds and hundreds jus to try which if am Honest she jus hasn't got the Money!!! Believe me if billie not in pain or when mum speaks to vet tomorrow there is something r sumway he can carry on then he will but no way will she let Billy suffer that's unfair after what he's gone through already it's jus terrible for him!

I wish my mother was in this site because I've done everything I can for billie while She's been away and it's upset me dearly!! If there was anything I could do believe me I'd do it!! In ur opinion would an absyss hurt and cause distress because I can only go on what the vet has told me and if billie was in no pain there would be no thort if putting him to sleep!

The vet said he is struggling to breathe properly which obviously causin Billy distress!! He's going mad at his eye and face where the absyss is which he is making very sore and the vet thinks this is causing him pain!! Mum is going to talk to the vet herself when she gets back I've just passed on everything I've been told bt I don't think if it was my bird I could make him carry on knowing was distressed and hurting and getting worse each day!!! Not fair to Billy he don't deserve to suffer! It's extremely sad he's a wonderful talker and even tho can't handle him alot he's a loverly bird

Yes mum wants to take him herself and to be honest I jus couldn't bring myself to do it for her neway!!!

The absyss is very large and very infected he says all his head is swollen and something about holes In his skull like honeycomb which is also infected!! Psyticosis was mentioned along with chlamydia r sonething but he would have to send swabs Off to be sure!!He said he could lance the eye and flush the head but chances are he would die in the table and even then it could not work as it's that bad and would keep returning!! He would need to be on a ventilator for a few Months also!!!he is suffering and would suffer greatly for the slight chance it cud work!!!

Well am afraid to say I found billy an avian vet and took him myself today!! It upsets me to say he is going to sleep forever on Saturday!!! He's not even my bird I don't have owt t do with him bt I'm so heartbroken over this it's unreal!! Mum knows now and he cumin home Friday and wants to take him herself she's extremely upset aswell bt does realise she could have done more if shed known more about greys etc!! Billy will be truly missed and I hope I never have to go through anything Like this with elvis x

Believe me i want Billy right more than anyone he's a Fantastic bird but he jus won't be handled!! We was told to get him extra vitamins and that which We've done!! Apparantly there's a avian vet that will come out if the bird won't be handled to take him so going to try that and will def keep u updated!!

right guys ive posted a few pics of billy as ive been unable to get an avian vet to see him!! spoke to normal vet and he said same as u did before could just be a bang but now his eye is constantly running and seems to be getting worse!! mum is home friday and he is her bird but im worried about him

They hardly see eachother so not giving them the chance to bond as such which with what uve said is a good thing!! We jus want them to be able to get along when need be but not bond so much that they don't bond special with us!! Elvis is such a cuddly bird while Rambo is older in his ways and more inquisitive bt elvis soon turned after Rambo left which left me wondering should they be kept apart for good as to save future Problems
