My Grey loves to throw things...such as his stainless steel bowls. I just foun 4 little stainless steel 2 1/2 ounce cups in the kitchen section of Walmart. The total cost was only 97 cents. My grey is having a blast with them.

My Grey loves to throw things...such as his stainless steel bowls. I just foun 4 little stainless steel 2 1/2 ounce cups in the kitchen section of Walmart. The total cost was only 97 cents. My grey is having a blast with them.

I use little paper soufflé cups you can buy at a restaurant warehouse like smart and final etc. I take a grape or nit put int in a 1 1/2 ounce little cup and pinch the sides. My birdies love opening up the little cup to get their surprise I also do this with paper cupcake liners they are entertained all day trying to find surprises

Hello I have a 5 year old cag that is exhibiting the hormonal head bobbing practicing feeding, Lowering his wings Etc. This us all new behavior and I was reading awhile ago that thus behavior is due to hormonal changes and sexual maturity which happens around this age when did it happen with your greys? And did they get nippy ?

Colored plastic straws Are they safe for African grey birds to chew on? A lot of manufacturers of bird toys use them and I was just wondering what your experiences have been? They are pretty inexpensive if you make your own toys but i wonder if the greys can chew through the plastic?

Hi Dave thanks for your response are there any preservatines in the gel? How much do you dilute the juice( the one on the left in the pictures when you spray? I think or will help my grey a lot thanks Julie

Hello- When I went to the health food store to purchase the Aloe Vera, there were so many kinds and brands to choose from. Gels, juice and distilled liquid from the leaves. It seemed like the gels had preservatives etc..and I think the juice did as well. I am open to trying the aloe vera juice as I want to spray my Grey as he doesn't like to take baths. Please let me knoe the brand and type of Aloe that is best for putting in a spray bottle. Thanks very much Julie
