Wow, long weekend here and I just got caught up....so glad Issac back with you!

My Syd makes similiar noises but is definetly getting clearer and clearer, The sound they make is much different than their normal sounds , when they learn from a man they get a deep sound coming, Syd says hello a lot, starting to say how r ya? starting to call my wife's name in my deep voice,,,asked me "is that right" recently. It wont be long for Issac until you understand him I think,,Syd is 33 weeks today!

Syd goes to bed around 10 or 11 until about 8 am. Gets covered up. If he gets tired before that he will let ke know by flying to his cage and going up to his sleeping perch,,lately I think he just wants to sleep in the same room as me. Lately in the mroning he is now flying out of his normal area and flying upstairs to try and see me while im getting ready in the am....hmm not good as we have new carpet everywhere up there!@%*^$#

dang it....I put my Syd out in my backyard in a nice cage while Im outside doing chores,,,even tho it is locked up tight I find myself constantly going to check on him to make sure all is ok.. I hope Lola is found safe and sound...there are lots of dangerouis critters in cities.

My Syd soound just like Murphy at 28 weeks,,,hello is getting clearer and clearer and he defintely has other things he seems to be pratcising But i dont make out either. Thought I heard a good bye yesterday tho...and he for sure has been using my deeper voice in a house with 3 women!

yep my Syd seems to be the same as Isaac above,,6 months old now was quite quiet when he came home for a while,,now whistles a ton, makes birdy noises and the last few weeks we can now tell he is trying to say hello,,,and some other things we cannot make out,,but definitely is trying to say more things as he has a deeper voice when he trys to talk.. also has started a beeping noise which sounds like the microwave etc.

ok so that sounds like me and the missus having a conversation

Just remember that any dog can up and do something completely uncharacteristic, sometimes they dream, sometimes they are startled and wake up in predator mode etc...I would always monitor dog/bird interaction. I Have had many dogs and once or twice the mildest most easy going dogs have for some reason jumped up out of a snooze and tried to bite someone..!

My Syd almost always uses his foot, even with pellets. It's funny to see him hold a 2 inch hunk of corn on the cob and meticulously pick at each kernel and eat the inside of the kernel and let the kernel skin fall. He even holds things with his foot whislt he eats such as a big string of spray millet,,it will sit in his bowl and he holds one end up and picks at it.

dont always put him right back into the cage when you get him to step up a little. Mix it up so he doesnt associate stepping up with going back in cage. try and get him to step up to come out of the cage,then he will like that!

If she has'nt flown before she maybe thinking she can fly as she has more freedom, especially if she likes coming out of the cage on her own. Just let her get more accustomed to new home and I think she will be wanting attention when she's ready.

My Syd does that once in a while as well, no apparrent reason goes for a couple of laps thru the Family/Kitchen area and screams like he was a star on Jurassic Park,,,As pterodactyls are extinct I think this is the closest we can come to hearing one!
