I love that entry in your diary of feathers. So much happens every day that it is easy to let it slip past with out recording. The memories fade a bit and having it written makes even the little quiet moment last. Thank you for the inspiration.

Hubbys sister is Larita and their cousin is Lorita perhaps she knows one of them. Sadico is Portugese for sadistic-hope that is not her thank you word. I hate to say it but with the Parakeets, Cockatiels, Greys & Cockatoo their are currently 12 birds here, subject to change.
My eyes are what I aim to protect, not so concerned about the Greys as I know who does and does not want to remove tissue for DNA study. The Too's as much as I love them are not shoulder birds for me. Fred fred is such a sweet heart but he is a Too and a Sulfer Crested at that so can be hypervigilant he is usually relaxed when with me but still face is off limit.
The question is who was more frightened you or her? They recover fast after they know all is well, just that sudden change on your hand, it may have been a predator trying to eat your finger.
Sorry for your injury, that hurts your feelings as well as your arm. She must have thought the visitor was a danger you needed to avoid. A shame you have such boring weekends nothing to entertain yourselves with-LOL. Will you being looking for a place in the same area or elsewhere to make your bird haven?
You worked with what you saw and reacted properly to what seemed to be the problem. After the clean up you found the root of the blood loss and it is easy to see how your miss observation happened, no harm done so all good.
