  1. My Grey can put droppings down the back of the sofa better than your Grey.
  2. You could place a towel on the cage tops or a table top type play stand to give a visual barrier between them and I would let them have outside the cage time separately for safetys sake.
  3. Welcome to the board and your girl is lovely can't wait to here all about her arrival.
  4. Ranaz so sorry your Grey had to die like that I do understand about trying to find medical help you can trust any where. Some doctors for people are that lame as well.
  5. Change of routines on the weekends and these guys like things to roll along as expected, he will get used to the weekend routines as well. Maybe there is some body language or activity going on he is not happy with?
  6. First I would let him come out to step up rather than sticking your hand into the cage. He may be starting to feel at home and that cage is his territory. Yes lack of good undisturbed sleep can make them grumpy just like us. Greys do like things to stay as they are it can take some time to even introduce new toys some times. Give him some space and more things to do, things to shred, puzzle toys or try playing some games with him like Peek a boo with a piece of cloth or toss the ball. More spray baths would give some relief to the plucking. The Timneh that is suck a bad plucker he came to me a few months back with only head feathers is now growing our most of his body and tail feathers with three or more spray baths a day. It really does help them.
  7. Do keep us updated we are pulling for him.
  8. The above responses are trying very hard to save your bird!!! Gtt him to a VET NOW!

    Avian Game

    One answer is Burrowing Owl.
  10. Where is your new situational question? I almost put a new toy there ...
  11. My choice go spend some good time with the flock and family outside under the trees while trees and I existed still. You will have to kill your own boss. You just won Lotto, after you have made arrangements to handle the windfall and have your ducks in a row what is the first thing you would spend some money on? 1=Car 2=boat 3=country estate 4=your favorite charity 5=world travel 6=revenge
  12. Beautiful!! Nice work, we save some of the larger ones for friends who costume build and I have seen some feather mosaics done to form a scene or a picture of a the bird it's self.
  13. A paper mache' construction may be in planning stages. Harry U2 and Pookie Grey often soak paper, toys or wood chips in their water I know of several birds that soak their pellets.
  14. I see you have two of them yourself. lol
  15. They can eat the leaves and the flowers, just make certain they are free of pesticides or herbacides.
  16. I thought it was a very well thought out answer and you were only supplying credentials for your background training and experience. I would like to copy your listed remarks for behavior extinguishing as they were right on in my book. I would hope we are not all that thin skinned and it does sound like girltron is in a difficult postion trying to make this situation work between the members feathered and smooth in her household. Finally gets the bird of her dreams and the dreams are more challenging than she had imagined-funny how those small behaviors can make such a difference between easy fit and having to really work at it.
  17. Perhaps this bird had a fall or other physical trauma that affected the results. I would be interested in running the blood work again in a few weeks to see if they remain the same or have lowered the counts. An Avian blood values link, sorry long link. <iframe frameborder="0" scrolling="no" style="border:0px" src="http://books.google.com/books?id=6nngRlwIl5kC&lpg=PA47&ots=uTOTVKnbSm&dq=normal%20creatinine%20levels%20in%20the%20African%20Grey&pg=PA47&output=embed" width=500 height=500></iframe>
  18. Welcome and so nice to give a new start to a bird who was living in less than optimum conditions. Love to see picutre and hear more about your flock. We have two Too's (Umbie & Elanora) and three Greys at the house right now. I know at least two more people on hear actually have Citrons.
  19. Scary time for her and you , glad all is well now. something was just not right in her world.
  20. How old is Argyle? It may be he/she has just found a new way to self entertain, all our birds love shredding paper, getting inside paper bags or boxes too.
  21. I have a friend who has two Palm Cockatoos and I am just that bit envious of you both. So many different species of Too out there in the world, any of you have Red tails or Roseates?
  22. Efficient feeding, more play time, all to the good.
