  1. What state or Country is the shop in? My friends live in Texas USA. may not be able to go there?
  2. The Golden Conure or Queen of Bavaria Conures have recently been reclassified as a Macaw species. Makes sense when you look at that beak. I have two friends who have them-very nice birds both of them.
  3. This is a better photo P1030002.JPG 3064K View
  4. Good work!!! Let us know how he handled the transfer and how your tongue is recovering.
  5. Some of you may remember Gunner the naked Timeh that came to live with us last fall. He arrived with head feathers , one primary flight on the left and 2 on the right with some scattered fuzzy down feathers, no tail at all. After changing his diet , giving him real unfiltered sunshine and lots and lots of spray baths (several times a day glad he didn't mildew) this is the result. Hope you are able to view his arrival and today photos. Very happy little guy getting braver every day. Attached Thumbnails
  6. Crushing loss after all you went through. My heart goes out to you.
  7. Wonderful view into their lives, colors are so vibrant too.
  8. How traumatic for the birds and sad all around. I wish them all safe landings.
  9. I have a very dear friend in New Mexico that has a rescue for these birds I will put you in contact with her she is above board and works very hard to place the right bird into the best homes and the bird helps choose the people.
  10. I love a Happy Ending, Yay team and Yay Emmea.
  11. Hoping for conclusive results allowing for a clear treatment solution. All the best wishes.
  12. Wonderful luck and a great save, it would be nice to hear the rest of the story.
  13. Poor little guy so sad he didn't get to share his life with your brother any longer. Did a necropsy get done to discover his health issues?
  14. Nice -so is the photo with the silver Tiel.
  15. danmaq is so right birds of every species have been lost this way not just Greys there are many stories of Amazons, Macaws , Cockatiels and Conures lost in the out of doors, just look on CL any day in a large city. I have also watched free flighted Greys skimming over the landscape with Macaws who are in the same training group all returning safely to hand. I could never do that as my fear would be Hawks taking them or loosing my beloved bird and not knowing the outcome.
  16. How great that he got the right help in time, appreciate the update.
  17. Perhaps I did not interpret it the same way, I feel a bit lost as to why. What is wrong with being guided to the the welcome portion?
  18. What rule was broken, I need to know so I do not make the same errors? Perhaps things are not a friendly as I thought?
  19. I only do this with a heavy plucker not with a normal healthy Grey, Pookie for instance says it never rains in Africa so Greys should never get wet. Gunner the Timneh who cam to us with only head feathers is now sporting feather growth over his body-even has a tail developing enough to see he will be a Maroon tailed Tiimmi rather than a charcoal tailed. This progress did not happen until I began the three times a day or more spray misting. I use the Aloe strait one day out of the week then plain water the rest. I will try and post some progress photos for you. Haaving worked with several pluckers good nutrition, sunshine and plenty of baths make a huge difference for them. Yes this is just my experience and it is working right now. before the multiple baths he would begin to grow feathers then shred them after a short time of growth. Hope it continues to work but this is the most progress so far.
  20. Lifes' little challenges wrapped up into a very complicated interspecies relationship with a Zon, so true.

    Need help

You might try just leaving that cage door open for an hour at a time the same time every day to establish a routine so he knows what to expect in an effort to help him feel safe.
  22. I see you Ringo's mom it just takes a little bit to see them sometimes.
  23. A rainbow of birds amazing how many color mutations the Ringnecks have produced. Lorries are just gorgeous-messy but gorgeous.
  24. Welcome back and I hope all will be well, I have no idea what set things off in the wrong direction but hope it never happens again to any of us. Lets share those Grey stories and fun. >:> When I joined I had one Grey and now I live with three-MBS Multiple bird syndrome is contagious use caution.
