I have noticed bird rescues are having to turn birds down due to not enough room or fostor homes to take them. That is hard, when you know the bird cannot stay where they are at and having to say no to them when the people are trying to surrender them. At least the families are trying to find a home for them rather than abandoning them or releasing them in the wild on their own.
I can take birds who are in need of a loving home. I currently have two rescue birds. A Severe and a Sun Conure. I have had a few others in the past, most of them had been abused and need a lot of TLC. One or two just were birds the owners could not or did not want to keep them for whatever reason.
I do not have a shelter, I am researching how to start a legitimate bird rescue, but I will take some in now if they are in need of love and a home.
