Checking the pelvic bones is not always accurate! When birds are immature their pelvic bones can be equally spread apart in both sexes!! Not completely a true way to tell the sex. Kinda like females having longer necks. Anyway, very cute hungry baby! Let us know what sex it is when you find out! AND Congratulations!!! I have had mine for awhile now and she is 8 wks old. BUT such a joy!! Have fun and take lots of pics....they grow TOOOOOOO fast!!!!! LOL

Ok I recieved the DNA results on my baby CAG. She's a GIRL!! Yea, super excited {Feel-good-000200A2}!! I have a problem though. I cant decide on a name! I had a few picked out but didn't sound to good after I said them out loud! LOL I came up with a list(that all sound good when I say them) and that fit her! I need some opinions please. Here is my list and meanings. Malaika- angel Amirah- princess Mahlia- queen Mia- mine; wished for Sadie- princess Kya- Diamond in the sky! Thanks in advance for the feedback!

I understand the harness comes with a leash. How long is this leash and is a good length for the bird to fly with? Is it probably best to buy the flightline with the harness? I would like to get one for my baby to get used to, but unsure about the leash size. Maybe just order the harness and leash to get him used to it and then order a flightline if I think I need to!?

Well, I sent out the blood work for my baby. I can't wait to hear the news. This should make naming easier :dry: I think!! My baby was the youngest out of four birds. The oldest three were from one clutch and my baby was an only "child". Anyway the others at six weeks were so much bigger than mine at the same age. They were all DNA'd males. I'm thinking mine is a female! It wouldn't matter either way, that is just my guess! Now I just wait....:whistle:

How much is everyone else feeding there greys a day? My baby is going to be 7 wks friday but is already starting to pick at hie pellets. Right now he's picking at Zupreem.

Thats great news to hear! I have 6 children and even though I never wanted them to grow to fast I was always anxious and excited for them to experience and learn new things. Like eating baby food, or walking, or saying their first word. Its like having a baby all over again. (I mean he is a baby,I meant a baby "human")...Oh, you know what I mean :pinch: Anyway, I will try some things later and let everyone know how it turns out! I'm so excited....:lol:

I have a quick question. My new grey which is now 6 weeks old, will be 7 wks friday, enjoys drinking water from a very shallow dish. He/she does very well. I have noticed that she likes to pick at her carefresh,her bedding. Also I let her out to play through out the day and she likes to walk around and explore but she will pick at anything she finds on the floor. My question is at 6 wks is it to soon to introduce her to some warm moist pellets, fruits & veggies? I know around 8 wks is usually a good time, but every bird is different right?
