MY BABY

MY BABY IS HOME!!! she arrived safe and sound. She seems a little tired. She has had a little bit of warm mash and nibbled on an almond. she is in her cage with the door open. The others are just watching her and playing on their gyms. I am thinking she will settle down for a nap here in a few minutes. she is on a plane getting ready for her final flight here to Orlando! She is in NJ right now. OH THE EXCITEMENT and I still have to drive to Orlando, find a parking spot and get her!

:woohoo: It is going to be a very long day waiting for my baby girls flight to come in! She wont get here until about 4PM. OH what am I going to do to pass the time! I have been waiting for this day for a very long time. I can hardly believe that it is finally here! I will take lots of pictures.

Its been 15 weeks and my baby girl will finally be coming home! She is now at my dads house and will be coming home on Saturday 8/1. I can hardly wait!!!

Good Day everyone. The day has finally come that my baby is weaned! She is in upstate NY and I am in Florida. Does anyone have any good suggestions (like really here someone would give a bad one....) for shipping my baby. I am concerned about the heat of the day in the south. Which airlines ship? What about early or late flights? Any suggestions. Although I am extremly anxious to get my baby, I just want her to be safe!

I have also been told that she is not being a picky eater. She loves her fruits and veges. Is eating some pellets and is almost down to one hand feeding a day. Hasn't really gotten interested in the seeds. My breeder, Yvonne, told me that she is really a sweet heart and loves to cuddle. I am so jelouse!!!

I just got a call from my breeder. She had a DNA test done and my baby is a girl! I have the cage on order and will be here in a few days. I am making lots of toys for her and my other Fids. Baby Girl will be here in 7-14 days. I CAN HARDLY WAIT! HELP ME WITH SOME NAMES!

i found it at the local health food store. It was the same price on line but since it was on my way home from work, I didn't have to pay shipping! I had to call a few to find it. I know that no GNC has it. I have heard that whole foods market does. I have bought my Yellow Nape and Sun conure Red Palm Oil and have been giving it to them on their warm mash at night. They have taken to it very well. I have also given it to my dog who is "itchy". She gets some of the veges that I chop for the birds and now some red palm oil. I will have to let you know how that works. It has only been 3 days.

I have the barrel of fun for my Fids. They figured it out in no time. I have had to get harder ones. I have the treasure chest and a few others. Mine will still play with it as long as it has a treat inside.

My baby, who is yet to be named (any suggestions??) will be 8 weeks old this saturday (6/14/09). I will probably get a cage just like I recently bought my yellow nape. She seems to like it. It is a dome top that opens up, with 2 front doors one at the top and one big one. She is eating lots of fruits and veges, and playing with other foods. She is still on 3 feedings a day. she is cuddled and played with. She is not afraid of a towel. Everything is going well.

:cheer: Update on my baby CAG! He/She is now 7 weeks old. (S)he is now eating some fresh apple and playing with other foods. (S)he has been introduced to broccoli, cheerios, and other healthy foods. (S)he is being cuddled after meals with a towel. Doing well and chattering. (S)he is on 3 feedings a day. Her little red tail feathers are about an inch long now. I do not have pictures yet! Soon though I am promised! My breeder does NOT force wean. She will force me to wait instead! I am glad for that! I have been reading lots, and plan to get a cage soon.

Here are my 3 fids in the shower. Sun Conure Uno, Yellow Nape Amazon Sweetpea, and Cocatiel Misty.

My baby is still with the breeder. My dad will get him/her in another 2-3 weeks.

OH how jelouse I am of you right now! My baby was just pulled from the nest box yesterday. I can't hardly live with myself waiting. I watch you tube videos with my other fids while we wait and wait and wait......
