  1. Once again, thanks for all the info. I decided not to take the risk because my baby is still so young. My mom works for Animal Care & Control so she is always coming across abandoned birds exc. This one does have a home but was offered to me because I have one already. It is not so nice. I was told it sits around screaming help me, help me all day (no joke)... Needless to say lol, I may consider another Congo later when my baby is more mature.
  2. Grace had a visit to the All Bird Clinic... She is doing well.
  3. I have a 12 week old Congo Grey. I have recently been offered a second one who is about three years old. I am considering it, but I am afraid that this will make my baby bond with the other bird and loose the bond with me me. What happens when you own more than one Congo grey?
  4. I have recently started to use white paper in my baby girls cage.I just took notice a couple of days ago to a yellowish tinge to the urine part of her droppings. I know this is usually clear... Is it o.k? She is still on two feedings & getting ready to wean to one... Could it be the formula? No change in diet; Eats well too. She dose sneeze now and again... Thanks;:silly: concerned mom
  5. Thanks to all... seems she has a taste for apples and eggs. Her first foods. She eats well... all day it seems. I still have her on two feedings and when I say I am hungry, she responds with 3 chirps as to mimic me.
  6. Thanks for all the input. I may be an over concerned new mommy. Sorry if I do not get back right away. As you can read we live on a boat and have limited access to internet service. I will put up some picks when I can. Any advice out there on a irresistible treat for my young baby? I can't believe how much she already chatters... Lol.
  7. Hello; I just got my baby Congo, Grace, on her 9 week birthday. She is now going on 10 1/2 weeks eating pellets exc. and letting me know she wants to be on two feedings by refusing formula and turning her head upside down... Otherwise she is doing well. I spent my younger years working for pet stores and am familiar with the feeding process. My concern is that when I attempt to put my hand in her cage she moves away to the back. She chatters a lot and is quite sweet. I worry that I am doing something wrong though. I open her cage in the morning but she stays in. Should I wait and let her come out on her own or take her out? Is there anyone with bonding advice who can help?
