I say,
Pasties where invented by the wives of Cornwall, for the farmer blokes who tilled the soil and worked very hard all day and need a good meal, just like today, nothing has changed down South, we work very hard, that is why we have inside bogs, cars that can handel snow, salt in winter that is freely available, Television, Very big boats, and we dont talk funny, we have speal chok that sometimes works, also we have self cleaning steps, and no ferrets, pidgeons, baps, cobs (wot ever they are) we have warm weather Sun. no flippin coal, And we can park, and we dont have brushes with the law, we can talk proper Queens Engrish like wot we should, and we have 2 tides, and we are softies, we can only go Norf because if we go South we get wet, and we drink great Ale from the wood, we have hard water not that soft stuff like the poor people up Norf and they make the Newcastle Brown out of it ahhhh!! but, I must admit, it is well, nearly ok.
And we had the Titanic. Ahem, Well we cant have everything.
