I thinks Ana Grey's favorite part of a bath is the drying off part. She flaps her wings and mumbles up a storm as she preens and fluffs her feathers. I'm sure she is complaining about a bad feather day!!!!:lol: :laugh:

Hi Orphan1965, I don't cover my Ana Grey's cage, I believe if I covered her cage the air wouldn't be able to circulate as well. She sleeps 10-12 hours at night. As for perches, she has several different kinds, a cement perch, manzanita perch, wacky wood, and grapevine. I got my grey at four months and she was fully weaned so I have bathed her from day one as she was fully feathered. You must be so very excited and can't wait for your grey to come home. I remember that feeling and they are so worth the wait!!!!

Lily is 8 years old so perhaps she is just getting old. But she doesn't have skin problems of which I am grateful and she usually only has trouble breathing if it is hot. I basically put in my heat pump because Lily has problems if it is too hot. Spoiled puppy, absolutely. I love her to pieces. She is eating more and wanting to play more so I am hoping it was an infection that will clear up. Thanks everyone for your kind words and good wishes.

I don't let my grey on my shoulder for many of the same reasons Errol's Mom posted, but Ana Grey is happy sitting on my arm, on the back of my desk chair, chair arm, or on a playstand near by.
