  3. Hi Crossfit, I believe you instinctively already are doing the right things to ensure that Ipo will be moving into a loving and caring environment. What great love of birds you must have to take the time to visit and see that you learn everything about Ipo. She is a very lucky grey and her present owner a very loving parront. Please give Ipo's present owner best wishes from Greyforums. What a wonderful parront she is. I can't wait to hear how Ipo's arrival to your home goes!

  10. Oh Jules, that's just WRONG!!!!! :woohoo: Why did King Kong climb to the top of the Empire State building?

  12. You have a low powered 250 watts microwave. Or you are just whacked!!!!!
  13. Breeders socialize their baby greys differently I suppose. My breeder handled her baby greys all the time so when I brought Ana Grey home I was told to cuddle her and talk to her calmly. That greys were flock animals and that I was her new flock so I should interact with her a lot. Did your breeder handle your grey much and socialize him? If not than sitting by his cage and talking to him and handing him treats is certainly a great way to start. Can't wait to hear more about Griffin.

  18. Very nice looking playstand you dad made zzzelama. Your fids are very lucky!
  19. Hi ZippityV, congrats and karma to you for providing a home for an older grey. Just take things slow and let the grey adjust to his new surroundings and home. Let him settle in and once he is calm just open the door and let him come out on his own. Talk to him quietly and calmly and let him get use to you as his new parront. I think its wonderful that you can hopefully get more information about him from his groomer. Good luck and please keep us posted.
  20. I have a re-homed older male Eclectus that joined my family in May, 2009. He spent many years in a pet store and is a plucker and screamer. He has stopped screaming and is not plucking as much. He is usually a sweet quiet guy. A couple of months ago he became aggressive and started attacking me (I live alone) and my young grey. Dave007, Dr. Flock, helped me tremendously. He explained that Sully was hormonal and that I should protect my young grey and myself from my aggressive eclectus and basically let him cool off. Sully is now my cute guy once again for the time being anyway. There is a thread about this in the Other Bird Room and Dr. Flock, 007Dave is in the Health Room. As far as I'm concerned when it comes to problems with your greys or other birds, he's the man.
  21. This is such a sweet and wonderful thread, Robin. Karma for the heartwarming pictures it invisions!
  22. Don't be afraid Bernie Here is a microphone for you!!!!
