I hope you choose not to clip Gabby's flight feathers. She has been cage bound for so long and is now free. If you can find it in your heart to leave her flighted I believe you couldn't have a happier grey. Karma to you Karina for loving her.
I'm sorry to hear that you have giving up so easily on your sweet baby. But if you can't cope with him it probably the best to give him a chance to find a loving home before his problem becomes a habit. Good luck to your sweet grey.
I'm happy to hear that your new cockatoo has settled in so well. It's wonderful that you could give this sweet Too a loving home. I hope you were able to get rid of the roaches.
Sounds more or less as if Owen did the choosing!!!!! Great story about how this little clown became No.1. Way to go Owen, what a smarty pants you are!!!
I'd kick you in the seat of your pants Penny, but I believe you have already done that 10-fold. Thank you for sharing this with us. Such a scary reminder of how curious our sweet greys are and how vigilant we much be at all times to keep them safe. They so want what they want when they want no matter what! Your quick mind and fast reflexes saved Rikki from a terrible scalding.
I have learned over the years that I am not very handy so I will pass on trying to make something. Believe me, when I say, it would be a disaster!!!! But I love to see others' handiwork.
Karma to you Christina for taking in an older and needy grey. I have re-homed an older eclectus and as Dave says the road is long. He is very set in his ways and it is a battle to keep him from plucking. I know you can help your grey, he is very lucky to have you.

Post edited by: luvparrots, at: 2010/01/03 22:30
I alternate fresh and frozen. One day my fids' food is all fresh vegetables and fruit with various nuts. The other it's all frozen mixed with a variety of beans and pasta.
