George my CAG will talk all day IF no one is around, as soon as he sees anyone he shuts up and stays shut until the room is empty again .He mimics us all perfectly so he just doesn't want to talk to us !

im now winding down and got a cool glass of white wine ! George has decided to be cage bound again so will have a quiet night !

George does the same ! we can normally tell who he is mimicing but his voice range is really varied I think ! He seems to pick up lots of voices very quickly. Marie

George has now been home for 10 days now and at first thought things were going ok I mist him every morning and he hates it but seems to tolerate it..He is feeding (mostly seed, but its got lots of fruit nuts chillies etc in it ) I always put different foods in for him but he ignores them. He will eat anything we give him very nicely no lungeing or biting but after coming out his cage first two days he has now decided thats where he will stay ! No amount of coxing will persuade him otherwise.I have stopped giving him treats in his cage .I serve him up a meal every night with us and its so funny cause he watches us eat it and really wants it but just sits looking at us .He will let me in his cage and never attempts to bite me I can get within an inch of him before he panics a bit.I have put food in his doorway and he decided to come and get it quick and not come any further ! Has any one advice as to my next move ? am i going to fast or pushing it to much ? Hope this is not to long a post ?

OMG I watched this heart in my mouth Am really not sure what to make of it ! Maybe cause we not have pools in our gardens in UK !

he seems to say more every day George What you do Colin (my dad) Junie (my mum) WHAT (thats me) lol Rhys (my son) Ashley ( previous son ) the phone ring tone hello George and it seems more every day but always when im outta site or hiding and he seems to have such a funny laugh again mimicing me ! He was really annoyed at me tonite as well for not giving him his fav snack never heard him talk so much

I tried your advice and started to eat his favourite snack Cheese Tortillas He has watched my every move and has started to talk and call me non stop ! its so funny and felt bit rotten cause he was trying so hard to make me give him one ! He even said words i did not know he knew ! so will try this again tomorrow and will reward him lots if he comes out ! thanks for the advice guess im still very nervous and trying to do the right things for him .

George has been home a wek now. Tues and weds he came out of his cage on his own and after a bit of coxing went back in later,however since then all he as done is either sit ob his perch or swing with the door open .He has mad no more attempts to come out .He takes anything i give him by hand really gently and if i go in his cage never lunges or trys to get me except when i get a bit to close to him !He talks away to himself when no-one in the room but when someone enters he becomes a mute.Has anyone any suggestions on what to do now and what my next move(s) should be ?:unsure:

Its funny this info cause i went to get a skewer thing for George and the shop owner said in bird section they were £4-80 and in rabbit/gerbil section half the price ??

I bought George home in a car .It was a 200 mile journey and took 6 hrs .He had a travel cage and travelled really well .He had food and water available as well ,
