htanks for the concern. luckily he is ok. the tube was on its way to the 2nd tummy. lol(cant remember how to spell the word (properly. lol)ust a few mins away from surgery. Luckly no damage. at the moment he is on my lap talking away. what the vet did... she felt around his crop a bit and said that if the dont get him to sleep soon they would have to opperate on him. so the got him under narcotics and removed the food from his crop and slowly worked the tube up the food pipe(forgot the word again. lol).. man I need to get better at spelling in english. lol. but he is safe and sound. Im just happy he didnt die! good thing that a prayer doesnt come with a bill. lol

wow! what a bad day! so I give Gatiep his midday meal and as I give him the last bit, the point of his beak grabs hold of the tube and pulls it of... and being a smart bird he swallows it.. So 3 vets later and R700 less in the bank he is ok. worst hour of my life!

lol! ok so its normal. just when I started to think I have the next einstein grey. lol:P

thanks for the info! Yeah we are having a lot of fun. he is starting to get more active and is making more sounds. It really sounds like he is trying to speak... or I might be hearing things... but he never made sounds that sounded like a very very bad mumble of a word.

lol! he is 7 weeks now. quick Q.. When can I let him go into his cage? the people at the pet shot said 12 weeks.

lol! I really wanted to go to Aus. I still have the money to do it. But I love Gatiep too much to leave him.

ok. I'm going to school in a few mins. so I will do the resize later today. I gave Gatiep a bath! he had no problem with the water! I first let him down slowly into the water and when he was in i poured a bit of water on his back and he didnt have a problem. I'm starting to think the grey trusts me quite a lot

OK... So from the beginning. I was half way on my way to going to Australia to study music. I just needed no finish the year and get a Visa. A friend and I started talking and I decided to take his advice and study Nature Conservation with him... As things progressed he told me yesterday that.... Wait for it...... We were accepted. So next year I start to study Nature Conservation. Yippy! My registartion has been payed. Just need to get a place to stay and pay the studies... Easy stuf!

Sorry for being a bit late on the pics but here they are as promised...

lol!! looks like you guys are exited as I am! I just fed him. I 'm going away today till sunday. I have "Trained" my mom how to feed him. I scrached him a lot under his wing. I want him to get use to the feeling of being touched. So I will be back on sunday... bye bye

I have they grey! man he is so cute! I will post pics on sunday when I'm back. He is being spoiled! when I watch tv he lies in my arms under the covers. Cute little guy..... or gal... hope its a guy. lol.

ok so a brief recap on what happend yesterday. I bought everything including the grey. Today I'm picking him up. I could only pay because I bought food(and when I shop... I SHOP! lol!) so there wasnt any room. but I managed to put one play perch and food into the car. They showed me how to feed the Grey and how to make sure the food is made correctly.

I cant wait till after school! I really want to miss school today!! I'm really considering it:P !! the pet shop is on the next block! Then I can pay everything and after school i can take everything home.. cant do it myself.. No wheels under me. Things worked out so that I'm not getting the Lumina.... But what use is a low car with a lot of power going to be if I'm going to study and work in a bush area. I'm going to work as a nature conservationest. Faxing my applications today. They have NEVER had a full class and If they do they look at school marks. so I just need to study a lot. So I'm buying a Ford Bantam. My step father works for BMW and the also build fords there. So he can get me 10% off a new ford. I'm going to buy one for only R90 000 brand new out of the box. I can even go look at it on the assembly line!! Then me and the grey can go places! just need to find a place to buy a harness.
