Hershey talks constantly and surprisingly has many phrases for a year old bird. My favorites are Bye Hershey Bye Elvis be good birds (when she sees me pick up my laptop to go to work) Hershey wants salad (when its time for her morning and evening feedings) The funny part is that she says this in an evil low voice if I dont respond right away and when she wants to be uncovered in the morning she will softly say good morning and gradually get louder when I dont uncover her. She's like my little alarm clock without a snooze button.

Hershey turned a year in March

A good friend of mine that I grew up with had greys and I fell in love with them. It took me a long time however to get my first and i wish I could have started younger. Not that I am old!! LOL

I have the same issue. Hershey is being a turd bird. I tried the instructions that came with the harness but think I need to be more creative. Congrats skeeterhawk Ballsy

Hello everyone! Been away for awhile due to work and personal reasons. I do lurk once in awhile and have been trying to keep up with the limited time I have had. I'm happy to see the forums are thriving! Hershey and Elvis are doing well. Hershey had a respiratory infection a couple of months back but is doing fine now. Elvis is still a devil bird but you gotta love him. Looking forward to contributing again! Tom

Hershey finally picked up a new phrase. She loves to say "turd bird" Funny thing is I only called her that once when she pooped on my shoulder :blush: . She mumbles a lot. My favorite thing she say's is whatcha doin doin? I have no idea why she repeats the last word. She is also just 6 months old. I figure when she mumbles she is trying to figure out how to say something.

Wow! Congrats guys, I remember how that felt when Hershey came home. What an exciting time!

Funny thing about reading emails, posts, text messages , and so on is that since you dont hear a voice or see a face, someone can very easily take things the wrong way.

She didn't do it at all this weekend. Maybe to much going on with the kids there. I hope she did not get tired of it already. I hid a tripod with my video camera in the closet to try and get it. Will try again tonight.

Hershey shares with 2 dogs, a tiel,me, my girlfriend and my kids every other weekend.
