Happy Hatch Day to our little boy Rexxy. {Love-000200C2} He is just a good boy and just started molting last weeks or so. He has been so hungry lately too, which is great cuz he is eating a ton of veggies. He loves just making up sounds and he only says maybe 3 words clearly. For his hatch day dinner, he got french toast. We were going to make muffins but it is too hot to run the oven. Then he got a new monnkey and he loved beeting it up and now cuddleing with it.

Rexxy has never drawn blood. I have gotten once or twice when he holds tightly to my finger with his beak but then he lets go.

Rexxy makes all of Sadie noises, but I can tell the difference, he is not that good yet. Rexxy shares food with Sadie, so our floor is always a mess. Sadie stills helps Rexxy to where I am at if he flies to the floor. And sometimes if we are playing on the floor Rexxy then he will chase Sadie. It is funny to watch and you can tell Sadie likes it. All they have right now is the two of them. They love each other.

It has been a jeaslosy war between rexxy and the dog. Our dog Sadie loves the smell of bags from the pet store and it gets Rexxy attention now. So as soon as the Dog smells it, Rexxy is squaking at her and wants that toy right away. But we found out it works the other way too. Rexxy wants the toy Sadie has. He dropps to the floor and runs over there. Getting all of us up as fast as we can to get the toy from them.

I am working with Rexxy with the Aviator Harness. We are going slow, I can get it on him and then take it off in a couple of mins. I am glad i went with the Aviator, it is easy for a first timer like me.

The name of the cockatoo my daughter fell in love was named "Kula" . If we ever get a cockatoo we will be naming it that.

I feel the same on Rexxy. He is on the min weight of a TAG but he does poop a lot so I know he is eating. He is caged during the day but at night when he hangs out on his tree he has a bowl of pellets and a water bottle. He seems to snack when I am not looking :unsure: .

Rexxy has a floppy dog that sits ontop of the couch that is his and that is the one toy he has not destroy. We also have a lot of cat toys without the catnip. he likes to throw these around.

Rexxy has been pulling this lately too. So I started doing the hiding in other food tricks. Cooking them in eggs, mashed potatoes, corn bread, waffles, pancakes. He loves his beans so I give him a lot of variety of those but he is not a big fruit eater. As everyone says...keep giving it to them and one day they will eat it.

Rexxy is kinda weird... He LIKES the bathtub with about 2 inches of water. He HATES the shower. Just screams even when the water is not even close to him. My husband ran in one day and thought he was injured. :laugh: Nope, just sitting on my hand ....then I slowly poured wated on his back. When he was done ....he was happy ...of course.

Kinda weird but I wash down the new cage and the new playstand and toys. They put the new things in it and even the newspaper down. This way everything smelled liked us when he came home. It worked well, he was not afraid of anything.

Rexxie is not a big cuddler. Him sitting on my shoulder and not biting my fingers ...i am happy. He does have one very weird petty/scratching.....he loves being brushed. Really...a big flat human brush on his back over his wings and the top of his head. It is weird.

I am not a book reader. I am 36 yrs old and the last book I read had to be some mandatory reading in school. I guess my daughter is reading a pixie book to me (3 rd grade). So this is a big achievment for me :laugh: Rexxy likes the book too. He keeps trying to eat it.

I wanted to share that Rexxy had a blast for his first Xmas. He was not afraid of nothing. He got his special muffin for breakfast. He loves Bows now (I have to take the staple out and the sticky back off). They are the most favorite item in his life. He had a great time opening package. We got him some great toys: pinata pig and lots of cat toys as new foot/destroy toys. The cat toys with out catnip cuz we are not sure if he could have. I hope to post a youtube video of him playing with a ball. It is really funny. He is about 8mths old now, still on the petite size 303 grams, whistles alot, says good boy and loves Sadie (dog) even more since our older dog passed away before xmas. I wanted to share my experience with this amazing flat perch. First....I am not affliated with them ...I am just one happy customer. Before I got Rexxy I saw a concrete type flat perch in a grey's cage and when I got Rexxy I knew I wanted one. I searched the web for weeks and finally found this great company. http://sqwatters.com/ I have 2 now in Rexxy's cage, 1 at the top for a hiding place and one by his veggie food bowl and he take food there and eats.
