Adaya does get lots of love hehe! She's the baby of the family, and the apple of everyone's eye .

HI! Welcome to the group! Adaya was sexed before coming home to us. We had already begun the adoption process so it was not a deciding factor *no interest in breeding etc*, we just wanted to know for sure .

Oh my!!!! CUTE!!!!! Adaya has just recently learned that toys etc are for chewing, ripping up lol! She has no smooth perches, so no worries there lol!

awww thanks so much!!! I posted in the Photography forum for tips! I hope to be able to start posting some videos of her latest antics lol. Adaya is in LOVE with the camera, and we have to sometimes be sneaky or she will stop what shes doing and regurgitate for the camera

Thanks everyone! We have a grape vine play gym that we attach to the top of her cage. To change it up, we added two table top stands we have as well as adding the extra toys etc. Adaya had LOTS of fun . Adaya means Precious Charm of God. She was born on Easter, and we were searching for just the right name ( We first saw her when she was 4 weeks old) When we came across Adaya we knew that was the one >

Thanks everyone! We wrapped sissle rope around the circle, steps and side arms, and we cut and dried a limb from a tree(safe wood) we planted when our daughter (19) started kindergarten . We rotate her toys weekly, so it always seems new for her.

We give Adaya and my daughter's finches palm oil, and have seen the positive affects. I have been following the message regarding the actual palm nuts available in Fl. Has anyone used both and seen a difference?

We have been taking some videos with our digital camera. We would love to share them in emails and also post online. Can someone please explain how we can do this? I have them downloaded in my computer, but am unsure what to do next. thanks in advance for any help you can offer! Kath

Adaya will be a year old on Easter. We see changes daily, and she brings more and more joy. Adaya loves swing music, and is learning to dance. She is also trying to sing along with her favorites. She's such fun!

Adaya LOVES new things and changes! We change her toys weekly and constantly give her new things to do. Even so.... she SOMEHOW figured out there was a teeny side door on her cage!:ohmy: Although locked she worked it loose and we found her chillin' on top of her cage. She did this rather quickly too! I think she calculated her escape! Now there are DOUBLE locks! She wasnt happy about it, but for now has accepted it lol! Adaya is learning to "scatter" when asked: she knows this means she gets to spend time on our shoulder or her favorite place the couch with fun hiding places. Everyday brings something new and fun! What a wonderful addition to our family!

We have the same routine, and cover Adaya first partially, and then all of the way before bed time and it works well. She wakes in the morning, and lets you know when shes ready to see the sun . However, she can sleep just fine if we only partially cover her also.

How sweet! Adaya is not quite a year, and although not speaking clearly yet, manages to communicate quite well lol. We hear words occasionally and she is practicing all of the time. The other day, my daughter was touching one of her toys in her cage, and Adaya was not happy about it. When I later came in the room, my daughter told me what happened. I looked at Adaya and asked what happened? She immediately looked at my daughter, then grumbled what sounded like a long complaint and ended with my daughter's name. I said what? and she immediately did it again: same length grumble etc.. LOL... My daughter said she is JUST like her niece, cant wait to tattle tale hehe!
