Hi iv just read this thread and seen some lovely tattoo`s so just thought id let you have a look at the one iv just had done a few weeks ago,it took 2 sessions to finish,my daughter designed it.The pic was taken 1 day after it had been done so still a bit puffy and red. Jackie

Hi Dave thanks for the reply,and i know what your saying about the poop and it is exactly as you describe,except for there being tiny little pieces of this nut shell,I would`nt have known about it as you can`t see it unless it is pressed between a tissue,but I will take a sample to the vets tomorrow with pooky and get it tested and him checked over.I do not know the name of the nut in the picture ,have you any idea what it is called,many thanks for your advice Dave Jackie xx

Hi all was checking Pookys poop again today and found some more of the bits of shell,when first looking I can`t see anything,it`s only when I examine it by sqeezing it in between a tissue and it is in with the green segment,Sorry i know its not a great topic but on taking a better look at his food i found the offenders,I don`t know the name of these nuts,so iv enclosed a pic hoping some one could help me identify them. Hi Judy thanks for that:) the thing with the food is that the store mix it themselves so will have to have a word with them,iv been checking ever since it happened and think it must have all gone as since this mornings (which happened twice)there`s been no more,but will still keep a vigilant eye on it,I get all the best jobs:sick: many thanks again Jackie xx

Hi Judy, the vet said just to keep an eye on him and check his food,he does seem to be his normal self as if nothing untoward has happened:) Jackie

Hi all,got up this morning and everything was as normal Pooky was his normal self and still is,I always check his poop on a morning,it was normal.Took Pooky in the bathroom with me and he did a poop on the towel,as i went to clean it up I noticed some minute pieces of brown stuff,which i think is nut shell,Iv rung the vets and they asked all the normal questions about eating,drinking ect and just said that there could have been a bit of broken shell in his feed but looks like he has passed it with no problems. Can anyone tell me is this normal or as it happened to anyone elses CAG Many thanks Jackie xx

Hi Dan what a brilliant piece,but so true,it would be so good if people were given this to read,(it should be made law)before they buy a bird,like a contract to say they know what they are getting into.So many are neglected or given away to somebody else,its a vicious circle Karma for you Dan Jackie xx

Hi coopersmum,by your description it sounds as if you already have a close bond with cooper,I would try now with the stepping up and stepping down,just put your hand towards his chest and ask him to step up,if at first he does`nt do it I would just move your fingers so you are just touching his chest.Hope this works for you.Also try giving him a reward to let him knowhe`s done good. Regarding food pooky has a seed mix all the time and through the day I cook him veggies (broc,green beans,carrots,cauliflower)There are lots of threads on what types of food can be given to your CAGS Lots of luck Jackie xx

Hi every one I just want to say a big thank to the members who mentioned in a thread I was reading the other day about using baby toys for their CAG.I can`t believe my luck,iv just been to the market and paid £2.50 for 19 toys,iv washed them all up and they look great,cant believe how much money it has saved me as I usually spend between £6 and £10 for a good toy.
