  1. oh i am so sorry to hear of your loss my thoughts are with u at this sad time i know its no consolation but time is the only healer i myself lost my grey and i thought i would nva get ova him i still think bout him and have since got a new grey called charlie and often call him alfie but the memories you have are the best and noone can take them away from u will be thinking of u .

  4. k everyone has posted pic suppose i may do same only thing is i hate my photo taken. i crnge when i see them so here goes guys me and one of my sons jamie he is 7.
  5. that his breaky he likes a slice of toast and few diff types of fruit and comes ova to my plate to see f i have anything different to offer him.
  6. been tryin get charlie to step up last two days and he finally mastered it now once u say step up sure to god e does it so proud my little man but hey dont all mummies think there babies are best in world

  9. can you not get them into doin it just hold them into chest have pillow on knee and lean forward onto pillow rub him/her where they like it most no harm in tryin guys
  10. e loves doin that the breeder trained him into doin it before e came home to me luvs his tummy bein rubbed while there e throws his head back and closes eyes

  14. oh he a big boy alrite e eats all around hin he had half banana and a slice of toast for his breakfast today dinner time e had potaoes peas carrots and sweetcorn followed on by an apple which e robbed out off fruit bowl on table didnt even have to chop it up e just ploughed into it i was lookin through all posts and was shocked when i weighed charlie and e is 500g i couldnt belive it compared to other greys on site
  15. ah thanx caroline that was a lovely reply trying my best to not keep thinkin of alfie but charlie has brought joy to the house will get soe pics sorted tomorro for ye all tryin to get charlie to step up e not really too steady on his feet or around cage keeps droppin to bottom bless him has that baby cry too when e wants to out cage
  16. hi i got my new baby last weekend he is 10 weeks old i weighed him last nite and e weighs 500g
  17. he ten weeks now will be eleven weeks on monday e is a big bird his parents are huge too e really is lovely e luvs to go sleep on my chest i cant let him get into habbit of doin it but e seems so content lyin there e not quite got the grasp of cage yet uses his wings to support himself i bit worried he will hurt them in process e sleeps loads to maybe in few weeks e will get bit more active i hope lol
  18. hi guys i am a proud mummy of my new grey his name is charlie wow cant believe i have him after alfie dying i thought i would find it hard to bond with a new one but it best thing i eva done my friend breeds greys and had three so she offered me one they are huge the lady she sends them to hand feed and hand tame them they stopped feeding for her at nine weeks wouldnt take anymore formula or off the hand they were all starting to feed on own she said she dont like sending them home that early.i weighed him last nite an e is 450g he huge compared to wat alfie was like :ohmy:

  23. oh my thoughts are with you and i fully understand what you are going through i still find it hard to believe that my grey alfie is no longer with me its like loosing a limb i still go to talk or go ova to his cage.with the clipping i think its your decision completly if its puts your mind at ease then to me thats the right choice,this was not your fault it was just a terrible accident dont go blaming yourself just remember the good times you had together. x
  24. hi sorry to hear bout your grey i agree with judy i think giving water would be ok and just like humans the tongue and mouth area is a quick healer its due to the saliva the mouth produces best healing power of all hope your grey gets better soon
  25. i agree i think its wateva your bird agets used to we used to cover alfie when e was alive e would let us know e wanted covering by grinding his beak, was always around same time every night.but come morning he would let u know he wanted cover off by calling us.
