readin these makes me feel right at home!!!! i have been bitten a million times by my grey and it HURTS TOO. if you read my little story on Birdies are fab you will see the last time i was bitten. my regents parrot bites me all the time but as he is inly 7 months old it doesnt hurt , but in saying that if he gets me under the nail then yes it does!!! he has actually bent my nail into my thumb its a propper indentation ( its a good job i dont care for my nails as i am a student nurse i dont think i am allowed them anyway!) but yet again i go back for more punishment, charlie knows when he has done bad because he always says you ok its ok ARHH. i love them all so much , as for the 'tiels they never bite george justs wants love and affection from his mum , but bell is like " whats in it for me " but i love them all soooooo much.

HI from Charliesmum, i must say whether its a CAG or a TAG its a friend, no matter how your day has been at work or shopping its good to come home and have a friend waiting for you. even if they dont speak to you at first. my grey gets upset when i leave the room and shouts after me, he also wolf whistles i a high pitched tone so i come back and tell him i love him. then we sit and eat together. one thing about greys is that they analyse every move you make and make a note of it too. if i sit before i have has chance to sip my coffee he will say AHHH like ha has had a hard day! they are vey intelligent birds and worth their weight in gold. a grey is the best friend you will ever have. Hi from the UK.

hi there, yes i love all my birds to bits! eventhough charlie my grey ( the lord and master) decided after his 1 and a half hour tickle session ( this happens every night ) he took a chunk out of my finger!!! needless to say i told him NO and that mummy was not there for that and i moved away from his cage. he was looking at me to see what i was doing but at the same time saying " you ok, you alright, its ok, its ok. so i went back over to him and told him that i was ok then he went for me again!!!! ( and the things i do for him). so i gave him a time out , i covered his cage with a sheet for ten mins. after he was all loving again.

grey with discharge from left ear
charliesmum replied to wasp45's topic in Welcome & Introduction Room
hi. sorry to hear about lucky's ear, it sounds like there is an infection brewing i would suggest that you take him/her to the vet, have they been scratching alot it might be a mite that they have scratched and then the dirt from the claws have transfered germs or bacteria to an open cut. please take you grey to the vet. -
after paying off my bills and what nots i have my bird food to buy and then i am left with about 10 pound for the month but i would go with out so they can have i love all my animals and would do any thing for them.
-
all birds tend to seek security be it through feeding or cuddling. and they will go to any lengths to get that attention. after 15 years of charlie( my baby or the lord and master i know what he will do if i ignor him.
-
thank you i will have 5 birds then does this entitle me to some funding to feed them oh i forgot to mention that i am a nursing student and get a small bursary but once every 2 weeks i spend about 15 pounds on food and treats such as fresh veg and fruit!
