  1. Hi Judy!! Well we just arrived home with another Tiel! This Bird Shop was closing and selling off her birds for 50 percent off. Well we rescued this Abino (Totally White Cockatiel) She is 5 months old and very cute. We then purchased a new Tiel cage and gave her a bath. So now we have Three Birds! Lola (Our Doll), Punky and Cloud. Judy you are right!! I will stay in touch. I've stopped by numerous of times just to check in but did not place a post! Thank You for your reply!! Sincerely, Will
  2. Hi danmcq, I've been so busy with work and then cleaning after Lola after coming home that many times I just don't have time to e-mail People,LOL! Will try to post some photo's. Punky has settled in very well and He is very Friendly with my whole family. Even my German Shepherd does'nt bother him. I quess some People don't have Chemistry with Animals? My Friend cannot believe that Punky does'nt bite me or any members of my family.
  3. Hiya Friends!! I know it's been a while since I last posted but I wanted to give you all a heads up on my baby female CAG. She is bigger and doing awesome! At this time she just say: PAPA!! Whenever She see's me. This past Monday I adopted a baby Tiel from a friend that could'nt keep him because he was a bitter and agressive with everyone in his family. Well I brought him home. Named him Punky and he is approx 4-5 months old. The first day I left him alone and the second day I proceeded to hand tame him. Yup, It took about three days but now I have him sleeping on top of my fingers and whenever I place him back in his cage he starts to Screech and jumps on the side of the cage as to say pick me up again,LOL! He is in another room separated from my CAG at this time.Punky is Yellow in color with a slightish grey on his wings. Hope everyone is doing greeat here!! JUDO
  4. Hey Judygram, My Son 21 year old Son departed this weekend with Friends and he borrowed our camera. So I will have to wait until he gets back so i can take some of Lola. Yesterday I got her to step up on my fingers and today I introduced her to Mr.Perch. At first She was wobbly and crying a little but after a few minutes She was just looking around. I only held the perch about 2 inches from the floor of her crate. I then left the wooden perch in her crate and she started to chew on it..She's coming along pretty good!!
  5. Thank You Judygram and Ziggy! Yepper She is a big girl! Very calm and just checks everything out. Her Feathers are not all grown out as of yet but She's getting there. After I feed her I wrap her with a towel and hold her in my lap for a little bit after which time I place her back in her crate. Will Keep Ya's informed!!
  6. Hello Friends!! Well after a long wait I brought my Baby girl Lola Home last night from the breeders home. She slept throughout the night in her bin that has a stuffed toy. The Family was happy to see her but I quickly put her in the quest room for the night. This morning I got up at 5:30am to make her formular at which time I fed her. She ate it all like a Champion! I just got done feeding her again,LOL!! She also eats a little solid food. Yesterday She turned 2 months old. I gotta get some pictures posted so you all can see her! Have a Great weekend, Judo
  7. Thank You Judygram and danmcq!! Yea, I know that She will miss her brother. Lola and her brother have been sharing the same crate.Whenever the breeder removes Lola from the weaning crate her brother starts growling,LOL! And he's only a baby like her Sister.:-) Lola is calm and just checks me out by looking at me. She cannot stand on a perch yet but I think that in a couple of weeks She will! The wait has been frustrating,LOL! But it will pay off in the end!! I will for sure let ya's know when She arrives!! We have everything ready for her arrival. Although She will still be to young and small to go into her big cage! :-)

I already have many baby pictures that Lola's breeder sent me and I will soon post them. She has most of her feathers and still being weaned. Everytime I hold her she just stretches out and looks at me. I hope You all had a very Happy Thanksgiving Day!!

    Advise on Books?

Hello Friends! OK, I'am wondering if I should buy a first aid book on Parrots? I've read that we as Parrot owners should have certain first aid tools and equiptments in case of an emergency? I've purchased two books on CAG's and read it already. Where can I buy the first aid kit's that are recommended to have? I do not plan on cutting the flight wings of my GREY. I've never done it although I've been shown how to do it!! I will also be looking for a Aviary Vet close by my home. Thanks All in Advance! Judo
  18. Hi Loviechick, Thanks for the video! How funny they are. Your Grey loves to talk. I would still love my Grey even if She did'nt talk. The breeder of my first Male CAG did'nt think that he would talk because his Sister did'nt talk. Well about a month later he was saying a few words. His first word was; (PaPa). I told my breeder and he was Shocked!! But yea,I love animals and I would accept her even if she refused to talk. My Male finch stands on my finger. I was told that Finches normally don't bond with Humans. Thanks Loviechick:)
  19. WELCOME Deb:) Alot of Expert CAG owners here ready to assist you and Romo with any tips or advise!! All you gotta do is ask. Good luck and looking forward to hearing more about Romo!!
  20. Hi Again lovemyGreys Wow,You are blessed to have 3 tamed CAG's! The Breeder of my soon to be Female Grey offered to sell me a male if I wished, But I decided to wait about 2 or 3 years! With (1) G.S. Police Dog, (2)Gouldian Finches and soon (1) Female CAG. I think that I have my hands full!!   Thanks lovemyGreys for all your Help! Your Friend..Judo
  21. Hi BMustee, Good to see that their are other Finches owners:) !! I'am pretty positive that my Grey will get along with them. At the time I had Rico (Male CAG)I had a Morris type Cat was 10 years old and my Baby German Shepherd. My Kids grew up with Sonic our old cat! Upon bringing Rico home sonic pretty much knew he was our pet so he did'nt mess with Rico. Rico never feared Sonic nor Luke my G.S. Male! When Rico started to talk he would say to Luke in a loud tone: "LUKE OUT"!! Saddly Sonic passed away a year ago of old age and both my 21 year old Son and 17 Year Old daughter cried!! Sonic was 12 years old when he passed away. Thank You BMustee for your reply. Judo:)
  22. Hi Shim101, Yepper, they are the best but a bit expensive. My Grey used to tear it up, especially the treats!
  23. Hi Guru!! Thank You for your tip and advise! Wow! Three African Grey's? How old are they and how do they get along? Do you spend quality time with them all? Do they get jealous? My German Shepherd use to get jealous of Rico and now with our two Gouldian Finches he lets us know that he wants attention! Thanks:)
  24. Hi danmcq!! Your Awesome! Thank You Again for your continual assistance. Will LYK how it works out!
