mine chew plastic bottle tops,they always appear to spit it on the floor,ive never had any problems i wouldnt be to concerned unless you dont see any pieces on the floor

Hi Heather, Dont show any reaction when harrison bites just a very firm NO in a stern voice & return her to the cage or playstand for a few minutes at a time.If you react then this shows her she is getting a response & she will continue to bite, No response shows her that she gains nothing from it,you are in control & not her.

Well in theory the younger the bird the better, closer the bond.I have 2 handreared boys that i have a good bond with but i also have a 2 year old rescue who i have built up a bond with, with older greys it just takes more time & patience to develop that bond but it can be done, currently im working with my newest rescue who is roughly 5 & in time i will have gained his trust. 6 months is still very young & you will be able to build a great relationship with your bird.

Greys will pick a favourite person but it isn't necessary the opposite sex.This is a myth in my own personal opinion.She obviously is not comfortable with your husband if she is growling. Continue the step up command,talking etc..you will gain her trust when she is ready

Aidan, im sorry to hear your sad up date.It is a lesson we can all learn from,if our greys are acting out of character in anyway then we must seek avian assistance as quick as we can,we are all aware that greys had illness but when symptons come apparent it's often to late.

Perhaps try a spoon with the edges bent inwards,you can mix any medicine with a little warm formula or baby food.

Not all greys lie on their backs,it is an un-natural position for them,you are lucky that your grey likes it

Hi & welcome, There may be a number of reasons as to why he is not eating.Did he's crop empty like should last time he ate ? He may have developed a bacteria infection in his crop. The best advice is as you are doing he needs to be checked out by the vet.Let us know how it goes ?
