12. Tari im sorry but i have to disagree with you, i know you think that i have been lucky with mine, but i am not the only member here with greys living happily with other birds as well as humans.Yes there is the risk of them not liking eachother, yes there is a risk they may harm each other but with patience, close supervision etc.. some birds can interact & get along outside of their cages. This may not happen in all scenarios but in my opinion it can work out out in some cases. Ladybug01976,you have made a good start by having them caged near eachother, they are each aware of the others presence ,The only way really is to let them out together & supervise them closely say just for 10 minutes max. They will puff up & check eachother out, thats natural,if all goes well you can continue to supervise their playtimes building up the amount of time they spend together each day. I have 3 handtamed CAG's & 1 possible wild caught CAG all living together, yes it took time on my part, but they are happy, they do not fight, they have one to one times with me & they interact together as a flock & with us humans.

Post edited by: lovemyGreys, at: 2008/02/17 16:34
 13. Hi artoaky Give cookie time to adjust to having you back home, ripping newspaper comes natural to greys there's not a lot you can do about it ! Have a look around the froum or search at the top of the page there are topics regarding potty training.
 14. Christo this is so sad you sound as if you have done a wonderful job caring for your sick bird. I can only say, ask your vet for his opinion, does he feel your bird is suffering ? Does he still have a good quality of life ? im sure in your heart you will know when the time is right. (( hugs to you ))
 15. Not great pictures as Hubby is useless with the camera, but thought id share them with you,me in the birdroom with three of my babies , Just to show that greys living as a flock can also have a great bond with their owner & retain their tamness

Post edited by: lovemyGreys, at: 2008/02/17 14:22

 18. Acappella wrote: I have said that her former owner is more than welcome to visit her,we are keeping in touch via good old e-mail,will it confuse her bonding with me ? im not sure she is very well socialized & my aim as with my other greys is that she will live in the bird room & have the best of both worlds, others of her kind & human interaction .
