hi! im soo bloody lucky you wouldnt beleive it! i work for my mom and dad so im able to get time off whenever i need it! we have a lovely big house with 3 acres of land too and so i was planning on building him a big aivary for the summer months our buisness has been going for 24 years so its not looking like its all going to end tomorrow! i can go and see ray anytime and he is very expereinced in breeding birds! i used to go there when i was about 13-14 and see his greys and owls and so i think thats were i got my love for them! he never had a grey actually in his house though! just a cockatoo :unsure: maybe i should ask him why lol! i supose i will be buying a house at one time or another! but il still be able to go home a lot and it will be with the girl im with now (hopefully) but like you have all said its hard to plan the future exactly but whatever way i look at mine, it involves a grey! i guess with the avairy and at least one family member always there! he could be a very happy little parrot! goes off to think again

thanks for all your answers! that is a great link too! ive decided im going to go on thinking for a few months saving my pennies and see if i still feel the same! my old school freinds dad breeds greys so im going to go and see him aswell! the last thing i want to do is make a lovely grey unhappy

well ive been with the mrs for five years so my only social life is about 4 hours on a friday night and if im lucky i can go fishing on a tuesday! my mom and dad are always here on these times so mayby a playstand in there sitting room incase of emergancies? 50-60 years will do me just fine as it kind of breaks my heart when we loose a dog or a cat! all being well me and the grey will live about the same time! he might do me by 5 years lol!

hi all! im really considering an african grey i have loved birds for ever and now im 23 i figgured im responsable enough to own one! i just thought id tell you what an avarege day is like in my household and you can tell me weather a grey would be happy in my planned routine??? i work about six hours a day and am too and from home all day and my dad works from home every day and never leaves the house lol! so im thinking i could get up and go to work at 9am leaving my grey in his cage to wake up! i could then return to the house at half 11 to let my grey out with me for my hour lunch break! at 12.30 before going back to work i can take the grey into my dads huge offive and leave him on his playstand to talk to my dad for 3-4 hours and when i return at 4pm he can come back to his room with me were we will be most the night! this routine will be monday to friday! ill be there all weekend aswell as the other 4 family members! is he going to be happy as i wont get one if not! cant wait for your replysB)
