Thanks everyone! Most of the time Charlie ignores the bird. Frankie the cat, however pays very close attention, lol.
-
Zoey knows the names of the cat, Frankie, and the dog, Charlie, but took longer to say Charlie's name for some reason. She will whistle to him as he walks past her window in the kitchen. lol See link to video below.

I got an IP camera last year that had sound and storage on it but was so disappointed with the video quality I got rid of it. I will keep trying to catch her at the right time when she is out of the cage because that is some of the best vocalization during the day.
-
We have been very lucky so far. The worst to come out of her from me has been the occasional "what the hell?" lol
-
Too late! lol
-
I wish I could have gotten a clearer video but she would probably just stare at the camera, lol.

I put the camera on Zoe's cage yesterday and got a few good vocalizations. Too bad she moved behind the rope ladder before saying the good stuff but she vocalizes more when she is not looking at the camera. She says "I love you" in my voice and mimics my cough to a T! Now I will have to work on something to say to get her to cough like that;) Link below.

I didn't either. All that drama happens when I am at work apparently.

This is what we do daily in the mornings. Zoe is very vocal in the mornings and loves to whistle songs back and forth with me. She has started saying "Frankie no!!", "right now Frankie!" Frankie is the cat. Zoe captures the frustration in my wife's voice perfectly. lol.

Awesome video! Love how he has such human sounding speech.

Here is some random chatter and whistling from Zoe. She is starting to say more words. Always seems happy to engage with anyone who is over. She is nearly a year and 1/2 now. I think we got super lucky with her.

Buddy looks great! Congratulations on getting your TAG. Looking forward to seeing updates on your progress. Best of luck!
-
Thanks! That has been a challenge with Zoe as well. She is finally able to talk with me looking at her and filming. Until lately she would wait until I was around the corner and then speak.

Thought I would share some of the latest training successes. I basically used clicker and treat training to elicit her response to a verbal cue from me or my wife. Got a couple links below showing her saying our cats name Frankie and her asking a question.

We got our timneh baby from Lea and Bob at 5 oaks aviary near Tulsa OK. They do ship but we picked her up after a 3 hour drive or so. You might check with them to see what they have coming up. I see one timneh in the nursery that is already reserved. http://www.fiveoaksaviary.com/ I found a small tv w built in dvd player on craigslist for $15 so I leave that on in her room. She makes noises from spongebob and other nickelodeon shows. I also found a baby development channel that is for infants and she watches that and seems genuinely interested. Shapes, colors, that kind of thing.

I am seeing almost the same research we did around a year and a half ago. I came to the same conclusion. We found a baby Timneh girl 3 hours away and could not be happier! I have several threads in the nursery forum from around this time last year showing her development from a week old until we got her home. Zoe has been a great addition to our family. http://www.greyforums.net/forums/showthread.php?202334-New-baby-coming-soon!

Got some video of Zoe learning the stack trick. I have been working this one a little over a week a few times daily. She understands the basic mechanic but does not do the 4 cups in correct order every time yet. See link to video below.

Has anyone else noticed their vet wrapped chain or PVC pipe getting tacky after a few months? I wrapped a bunch of stainless steel chain in vet wrap of different colors and all of it is really tacky to the touch and actually has a residue that it leaves on my hands. I will be removing all of the chain and cleaning it off to get rid of the sticky stuff. If anyone has an idea of what I am dealing with let me know. Maybe I got the wrong type and there is a better alternative?

She always is! I continued training after the camera was off though. It makes it easy when she is so eager. She gets excited when the target stick and clicker come out.
-
She is also showing how sweet she is. love this bird...

I put this swing together 2 weeks ago and she finally figured out that it would not kill her! I can finally step her up and place her on the swing. She seems to like the height and is getting used to the movement when she lands on it.

I finally caught Zoe saying something on video this morning. She has been saying a few words here and there but this is the first time it was so clear and I got it on camera. Might seem like a small thing but we are so excited. She is really bonding to both me and my wife and continues to surprise us. See the link below. Thanks!

Zoe started making a squirrel noise out of the blue, probably from hearing it on TV, so I got her to respond with it on cue using the word "squirrel". This is the new greeting when I come into the room I took a short video at the link below.

Great info! I have seen 2 wing feathers and some downy feathers here and there but nothing excessive. Thanks Dave!

When would you expect the first molt for a TAG? Zoe is 10 months now so just curious when we should expect to see the signs of molting and what those signs would be. Thanks!
