EARLY BIRD BREAD RECIPE *2- packages of corn bread mix (not sweetened corn muffin mix!) *frozen vegetable of choice (chopped fresh, or rinsed canned are both OK *frozen fruit of choice (chopped fresh, or unsweetened canned are both OK) *hulled raw unsalted sunflower seeds (available at bulk food stores near snacks) *raisins *hulled raw millet seed (available at bulk food stores near cereal section) *fruit juice (orange, apple, etc.) (using more than one kind is OK) *eggs (1 more than packages call for) Preheat oven following bread mix instructions. Grease 7" x 10" cake pan. Follow instructions on package for number of eggs used, then add one more egg. Substitute fruit juices for milk required by mix. Add approximately 1/2 cup of hulled sunflower seeds, and approximately 1/2 to 3/4 cup each of frozen veggie and frozen fruit. Add handful of raisins. Mix all ingredients together well. Pour into heavily greased 9"x 13" cake pan. Sprinkle small handful of hulled millet seeds over top. Bake until cake pulls away from sides of pan and is golden brown on top (it should be hard on top, but not burned.) Let cool completely, then cut into small (1") cubes. Place cubes and any crumbled pieces in a plastic bag or container, and freeze. To use, just remove one or two cubes and thaw, then crumble up into bird's dish. Vitamins or wheatgrass powder can be sprinkled over the cooled, baked cake. For one bird, this should last several weeks. Use as a treat to supplement the regular diet. In emergencies, this can be served in place of regular food. I found this on the internet but I plan on trying it out.

I love leopard Geckos. My son has six. He's trying to breed. We had Geckos for years. Their cute. He also has some mean ones called Tokai. They hiss like a cat, bark like a dog and their face looks like an aligator. We have two doors between us and I put a door draft under door in fear of Tokais getting lose. As for crickets dont mind except in the winter time I can hear a boy cricket chirping and I tell my son to find it and kill it.lol...Summer time a/c is on so I cant hear anything.

Now my pet store told me Congos are higher because of it larger and bright tail. He also said he doesnt handle Timnehs anymore because his experience was they took longer wanting to wheen and he also said Congos to him tend to want to talk earlier and hes been in bird buisness for 35 years.

Yes, I'm pulling out the cage Friday and setting it up then. My b/f gave me PetSmart gift card for my B'Day so I can use it to buy toys for it. This is so exciting feels like almost setting up crib and bassinet for a baby ! Thanx bird friends of mine. This suspense is killing me. haha

Still waiting on the DNA.. I keep calling her baby and the pet shop calls her my kid. When I go to visit my baby the counter lady calls back and says, " Toni is here to visit her kid". Sound cute but, any how, my baby is on it's one day hand feeding in the morning so now I wonder how much longer. Also I hold it and it hasnt bit yet. I asked them is it always going to be this calm or what. The pet store said it's one of their best birds they got in. My baby likes to cuddle alot and it lifts up its head all the time when I talk. The pet store also said some customers go to pay on there layaways and dont bother to really visit the bird and bond. Then the new owners why they tak them home and they bite. Which is quite sad they dont visit. To me I feel Im transitioning well because my baby sees me and the petstore and it feels comforter or assured Im ok.But cant wait....I wonder how much longer?

So almost like chilren its good to get them into a schedule/routine but with some flexibility basically right?
