Roxy is not close to what all the birds here say, but its still cute. She is 5 months old and says: Hello Roxy. Mmmmmmwaaaah! Wolf whistle. Ha ha ha ha ha! She is busy with a lot of other words, hope they are clear soon, but I love her just like she is and I'm sure you all are in love with yours too.B)

Hi. Roxy was SCREAMING for her baby food until she was 4 months old. She did eat other food, but if she couldn't get baby food, she would go ballistic.

Luckily for Roxy baby, she has got NO problem in the droppings area. Once a day, usually in the morning when I open her cage, she leaves a HUGE bomb behind. But after that its normal small droppings. I have given her onions once in her veggies mix, won't do that again. Thanks for this post.:laugh:

I have no idea what it can be. Roxy fell a few months back and she had some blood on her beak, but the vet said that as long as the blood is not flowing, it will heal by itself, and it did. They have very strong bodies as far as I know, so I don't think that it could be fatal, just make sure your bird eats enough and eats the right stuff with enough water. Water will cleanse the bird's system. I hope that someone else has more knowledge about this.

Hi all you wonderful people, just wanted to tell you the good news. My parents came down from the coast to visit us, and they did not have a travel cage, so they bought a cage that still had to be assebled, after assembling it, they realised that the cage was actually, a BIG one. As luck would have it, my "big" cage fitted perfectly into their car, and I Scored a wonderful cage, now Roxy has more than enough room to jump around in. PS: She is now 5 1/2 months old, and is talking, talking talking in the cutest little voice. Go well family.

That is SO cute that she came to you. Our children hates it to be without us. I left Roxy with my aunt when we went to Sun City last weekend, and as soon as she saw me she started whisteling a wolf whistle. They just want to be with us. Thats great.

What a beautiful bird, not as beautiful as Roxy. All AG's are beautiful. Thanks for sharing with us.

Roxy is now 4 months and 3 weeks old. My fiance tought her to wolf whistle, which she does ALOT! Any I accidentally taught her to make a burb sound, oops:blink: She also waves when she wants something, and she makes kissing noises. Too cute.

Hi GreyGirl! Parrots, especially African Greys, tend to bond to one person or bird ONLY. So it look to me like they have already bonded and the chances of you getting bonded to them is highly unlikely, unless you seperate them. It hurts to say it, but it is the truth. But remember, the decision lies with you, if you think they should stay together, don't seperate them, but don't expect them to become as tame as you would want them to.

I am just going to say what everyone is thinking. WHY ON EARTH WOULD YOU DO THAT TO YOUR BABY!!!!!!!!!!??????? I could never do that to Roxy! I brought her up well enough to not even nibble on anyones finger. She has never bitten anyone. My advice, tell the bird you are sorry and will never do it again. The poor thing feels like it lost a part of it, litteraly. Their beeks, wings and feathers are what they are proud of, if we clip them, we are taking away what they are boasting about. im probably going to be critisezed over this, but hey, what is a forum without honest oppinions? Hi CD, we get those birds here in South-Africa too. You should here how well they talk, my aunt once had one. Whenever you put a stick in the cage with him he would should loud and clear "HELP HELP HELP". They are called Indian Miners. Very intellegent.

Hold on to your seats, Roxy is going to blow you ALL away. Won't be hard, seeing that everyone except the talons is fighting.

Since she ate alot yesterday, that might be the reason she doesn't want to eat that much today. But the problem that she's losing weight, you van try giving her fruit, I think that might help seeing that that is the natural food. Hope that she'll be okay
