    new cage?

That is a wonderful cage beccy, wish I could get one for Roxy, but my home is too small, when I get married in two months I will make a plan, in the meantime, she is only in her cage when I put her to bed. Thanks for the pics. :cheer:
  2. Still proud to say that Roxy didn't bite me since I got her about four months ago, she doesn't trust other people that much, maybe they should join this club hahahahaha!
  3. Oh jstrelaxin, I am so sorry to hear about that, I read your conversation with CD, its something I have never heard of before. Roxy sometimes puts her claws in her mouth, but never chews them. Is it possible that something might be irretating your bird's feet. I am not sure if it is safe, but try to put your birdie's feet in luke warm sterlized water and maby get some kind of moisturisor on the bird's feet. Hope something works, but you and your bird are in my thoughts.
  4. Hey splint, Max looks great, he's the about the same age as Roxy, their eyes are the sam colour. thanks.
  5. Richardsmom and Karla, whata amazingly, beautiful pictures!

Try cheese, let max taste a small piece of cheese and the lure him out, Roxy is ***^&^CRAZY***^&^ about cheese. That will also be a start to a good relationship. :->
  9. Thanks for the video, what a beautiful bird.
  10. Congrats on the new Romeo! If you read my post about Roxy killing our lovebird, you will learn to KEEP THE BIRD OUT OF YOUR CAG'S CAGE!!! Really, Roxy is so loving but after what I saw when I found the little bird at the bottom of Roxy's cage, I will even feel sorry for a cat that tries to take her on. Hope you enjoy your new family members, not too long till November. :cheer:
  11. Hey Joe. Whenever I put Roxy back into her cage while she is playing, she will go down there and take it out on the newspaper, it is because they don't want to be put back into the cage. My mother's CAG holds onto the cage with his beak and waves his one talon when he is put into the cage.

    Parrot Abuse

Thats so cute. Roxy also like to stick her head in dark places, she has a red blanket that I cover her with at night, when she sits in het sleep corner of her cage, I take out the red blanket. As soon as she sees it she makes all this cute squeeky noises and shakes her tail, when I cover her, she makes more cute noises. She is starting to talk now, so I am saying "goodnight" when she goes to sleep. Hope she catches on to it soon. They are our babies.
  14. Thanks again you all. My brother feels better now, luckily he didn't have the bird for too long. Glad that I could warn you other guys and ladies about this danger. Regards.
  15. Luckily the bird was still small, had no mate. I feel so guilty, I promised my brother I will help him to buy a sun conure whan they are ready in September. Thanks you all for the support.
  16. Roxy is always outside het cage, she plays where she wants too. The little bird then climbed through the door and into Roxy's cage. We should have been more careful, or at least put the Lovebird into its cage.
  17. Hey all. We had such a sad experience this weekend. My brother had a lovebird, that kept on wanting to go to Roxy, and we just made a point to keep them away because Roxy plays ruff, she never bit anyone before, but she can get nasty when she plays. So we were outside chatting with friends, I went inside to get my car keys and couldn't find the lovebird. My brother came to look for him and found him dead in Roxy's cage. I could not believe that she did such a thing, she is the most loving bird I ever saw. I was heart broken for the bird and for my brother. Just wanted to share this with you and give you advice to NOT let unknown birds near you CAG's.{Feel-bad-00020072}
  18. Yes Karla, sort them out, you are getting my Karma too!

    New here

Welcome welcome welcome, it is an honour to have you here with us, you will get MANY questions from us.
  20. I am watching the video right now and sending the link to all my friends. All you hear these days is murder and other bad news. This is an inspirational video. THanks
  21. Hey danmcq. From where are you again? Do these finches live in the wild where you are staying. Here in South Africa they do live in the wild, we have about five of them in our tree next to the house. They always come back to their own nests, and always have the same mates. If they have a nice place to stay they will never leave. Just a piece of useless info.
  22. Lidia, that look very cute!
  23. Each of our Grey children has their own personalities, so it will be interresting to know what food or snack is your Grey's favourite? Roxy loves cheese falvoured puffs.
