  1. Hello and welcome to the family, Muscleman, glad you could join us for a good time. My, that name conjures up some picture in my mind, maybe you can share a photo of yourself with us. I am so proud of you for rescuing that grey from your brother, what a shame he was mistreating it, no animal deserves that kind of treatment. I'm sure he will flourish under your tender care. We have loads of threads that deal with many topics that would be of good use for you to gather lots of useful information on different aspects of grey ownership. Read thru them for ideas and opinions. What is your grey's name and do you know the sex and how old is it? If you have pictures you would like to share we would love to see them, we always love looking at and admiring each other's greys.
  2. Oh no, I didn't check with my doctor but he will be thrilled for any kind of progress.
  3. That is so sweet to hear that he loves you so much that he makes a beeline for you and kisses your face. He is a true little sweetheart and I am so happy for you. Josey likes chicken also and corn on the cob is another favorite. Try some cooked dried beans and sweet potatoes as they are a favorite with Josey also. Thanks so much for the update and glad that all is well for you and Leo.
  4. Well I got to be good at something, so it might as well be running my mouth.:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:
  5. I live in Virginia about 30 miles north of Roanoke, Greensboro would only be about a 2 hour drive for me, maybe I will come calling on you some day Debbie, and see this little man Radar.

You have a nice little flock going there with a grey, conure, canary and budgie. We have plenty of threads on various topics with lots of useful information, read them at your leisure. If you have any specific questions feel free to ask, we will do our best to get you an answer and help you in any way we can. If you have any photos of your flock you would like to post, we would be more than happy to have them, we love to look at each other's birds, especially the greys.
  8. We understand the crazies, you are getting close to bringing the baby home and are so excited, I know how you feel, been there and done that. I hear ya on the beans and cornbread, two of my favorites, and Josey loves those beans too.
  9. Awww, that is such a lovely story of how two people destined to be together came together and I am so glad it has turned out well for the two of you, may you be as happy in 50 years as you are now.
  10. You don't need to stumble any longer, we will guide you thru and be with you every step of the way.
  11. Good evening all, its Thursday and only one more day till the weekend, yippee, I can't wait.
  12. Thanks, 2finger, I will have to get busy and make them.
  13. All of a sudden I am very hungry reading Joe's recipes for sauces.

  15. Thats the important thing, not to relinquish your place as flock leader, but it sounds like a molt going on.
  16. Glad to have you back Mandi, we sure have missed your company here. You certainly have had a difficult time and I know you are struggling but you are on the right road now and hopefully it will be all down hill from now on. Buddy has been a lifesaver for you hasn't he, he loves his mummy and you have to stay well for him now. So sorry about your granny but death is a part of life and at 85 I'm sure she had a long and happy one and is now enjoying her just rewards. Glad you are back and don't stay away so long, we want to hear from you more often.
  17. We all probably have a little Alex inside our greys, just some of us are good at bringing it out and teaching them tricks. Congrats BMustee for a quick learner.
  18. No I wouldn't take her dish away, just ignore the food throwing and she will give it up after a while.
  19. I am always good at being bad, and I love adventures. Another glorious morning, I am glad to be alive and am about to embark on a new adventure myself. Good morning world, glad to see you all.
  20. Guess what Siobhan, your yelling at her is attention and she will keep it up to get it. Just walk away and ignore it, when she realizes it gets her nothing she will quit. Birds are wasteful and there is nothing you can do about that, my Josey wastes a lot of food also but yelling at her will accomplish nothing but making her do it all the more. You ignore the bad behavior and reward the good, so when she goes for a while not throwing out her food praise her and when she throws food out turn your back on her and ignore it, with no yelling.
  21. Only 2finger would have thought of that. {Emotions-00020120}
  22. Hello and welcome to the family, Sarah, glad you could join us, we look forward to hearing more stories of your adventures in grey ownership. How commendable of you to take Wilson in after his miserable existence under the stairs with no toys or company. I know he will thrive in your tender care and blossom out into a lovely creature he was meant to be. I am sorry about your loss of two children, I cannot imagine how you must feel but God must have needed two little angels and they are with him now. We have lots of threads that deal with most any topic of grey ownership, what to feed, toys to provide and whatever you can think of. Read thru them for lots of information and if you have any specific questions please just ask, we will do our best to get you an answer and we will help you in any way we can. When you get the picture posting figured out, we would love to see Wilson even if he has patches missing, they are all beautiful in their own right.
  23. Well you could tell us a little more about yourself and your grey so we can get to know you better, since we are like family, don't be shy we aren't. B)
