  1. Hello Alricka and welcome to the family, so glad you could join us and we look forward to hearing more about you and Layla. Please read thru the many threads for lots of useful information and do not hesitate to ask any and all questions you may have and we will help you in any way we can. If you would like to share some pictures of Layla we would love to see them.
  2. Hello Brenda, but if you prefer Bren then Bren it is, and welcome to the family, so glad you could join us and we look forward to hearing more about you and Dakota. Dakota sounds like a good bird but he is starting to drive you nuts with an ear piercing sound, it may very well have something to do with the hardwood floors since it is something he wasn't used to. For lots of useful information please read thru the many threads and do ask any and all questions you may have and we will help you in any way we can. The only suggestion I have for the problem is ignoring it, I know that is hard to do but if you give him any reaction when he makes that sound that is entertainment for him and will make him do it all the more for the reaction. We would love to see some pictures of Dakota if you would like to share some with us.
  3. I'm glad you did post it for everyone to enjoy and I look forward to the next one, keep em coming now that you know how.
  4. Thanks for sharing that video with us Susan, haven't I seen it before though, maybe you sent it in an email.
  5. Hello Brittney and welcome to the family, so glad you could join us and we look forward to hearing more about you and your quest for a grey. Some of our other members have had to look out of state for their greys also and have had them shipped to them, not the ideal way but you do what you have to for that grey, I was lucky and got mine locally. If you haven't already read thru the many threads for lots of useful information and do ask any and all questions you may have and we will help you in any way we can.
  6. Hello Tony and welcome to the family, so glad you could join us and we look forward to hearing more about you and this grey. So you have two greys, you do have a handfull but I know you are loving every minute of it, I only have one grey and a sun conure but they are a delight to have and are excellent company for me and I love them to death. You will find lots of useful information in our many threads so read thru them at your leisure and do ask any and all questions you may have and we will help you in any way we can. If you have some pictures of these greys you would like to share with us we would love to see them. BTW, what are their names?
  7. Oh I love the autumn with its fall colors and cooler nights and if we are lucky we will have some snow this winter too, we usually have some every winter and have had one or two feet at one time, love those.
  8. Tony, you need to tell us a little more about this grey before we can help you. How old is this grey, how long have you had it and so forth, then we can give you some answers to your questions.
  9. Better late than never I say, how did I miss these two pictures of your new birds and your lovely granddaughter, thanks for sharing them with us.
  10. sandra902 wrote: Oh no, not the GRAMMER POLICE again:laugh:  sorry I just had to do it Sandra. I knew you would like this room, it is right up your alley:)
  11. I don't think there is any difference, greys have their own personalities and you will not find males to be more aggressive or females more shy since they are all individuals.
  12. Congrats on your quaker, you will enjoy him/her a lot and it will give you some practice for when you do get that grey but this is one luckuy bird and will be spoilt rotten in no time. We would love to see some pictures of Radar and we have an other birds room where you can post them, thanks for the update.
  13. What a good shot of that membrane, I don't recall ever seeing that in Josey but the camera click didn't miss, thanks for sharing that with us Jim, thats an excellent pic of your grey.B)
  14. Oh yeah, Mika is enjoying his new stand and what a clever idea to put it into the sink like that, thanks for sharing that with us Carolyn.B) B)

    Keeko

Keeko is a good looking chap, Caroline, a very handsome grey, thanks for sharing a couple of pics of him with us.
  16. Thanks Ronda for the lovely update on Sweetheart and the other members of your flock, glad to hear that everyone is doing fine. You are busy if you have started a rabbit farm but as long as you have time for your flock then all is well in the household. We would love to have you stop in more often and take part in the forum, as you can see we have added a lot of new members and when you stay away for so long at a time you miss out on getting to know them but you join us when you can.
  17. Hello Streetrida and welcome to the family, so glad you have decided to join us and we look forward to hearing more about you and this new addition to your family. So this is your first grey, is it also your first parrot? You are doing the right thing to find out all you can before you make that purchase, you need to be sure a grey is really what you want and how to care for him/her. You will find lots of useful information in our many threads so read thru them at your leisure and do not hesitate to ask any and all questions you may have and we will help you in any way we can.

    Indy talks!

Congrats on the uttering of the first word, that is always a proud moment, pretty soon it will be lots more and Indy will be ordering you around:laugh: B)
  19. You are really getting into these birds aren't you, just make sure you have the time to spend with all of them but if you can handle it then go for it. B)
  20. That is so sweet of Bonkers and your hubby, thanks for sharing it with us and tell him he is a good sport.:cheer:
  21. Congrats on your new bird Bronxboomer and they do look good together, so now what is next:huh: just kidding but glad to hear the two of them get along with each other but do continue to supervise, thanks for sharing a pic with us.
  22. My Cag, Josey, is DNA'd a female and she is bonded to me but tolerates my hubby.
  23. This is going to be a greyt room Penny as we have many members who have greys that were rescued or a rehome. Good job for getting these so quickly, karma girl.
  24. Josey goes in on her own, she is out playing on her playtop that is on one side of her cage, her cage is split level, and a lot of times she is back in ready for bed. In fact she will be inside and out of the cage getting a snack or a drink of water and sometimes goes in to play with a toy.
