1. Hi Guys My neighbour also has a grey, and is going away for a week. What do you think would be less stressful for the bird? Bringing the bird in here, so she is with me or leaving her next door, in her own surroundings with me going in and out all day and leaving the tv or radio on for her during the day? Thanks guys Nic
2. Thank you! I am madly in love ha ha
3. Please meet Elmo. She is gorgeous
4. Thanks for your advice. I have been doing the "Step up" with her. I decided the day I posted this that I needed to get started and it has been fantastic. She already steps up, she fly's to me if she is on top of her cage and for some reason she has fallen in love with me. I can't stop smiling. As to the question about my other bird. I have no idea how old she was. We took her from an abusive situation, throwing money at the owners. We were told she was young but when I had her checked out I was told that she was a very old bird. To be honest I didn't care about her age, just wanted her to be safe. The vet seemed to think she was about 30!!!

Post edited by: Norahnic237, at: 2007/05/10 09:32
5. Hi guys Hope you are all well. Just looking for some advice really. I have had an African Grey before but he was an old bird so sadly I only had a short time with him. I have now got a new bird. She was very badley treated then taken in by a wonderful family that have worked very hard with her. I got her yesterday and she has already given me so much joy!! She was always out of her cage with the other family, so I know she comes in and out, but how long should I give it until I start letting her out? I was advised to leave her in her cage for a while to let her get used to us? What do you think. I am dying to get her out, but I dont want to distress her by doing so to early. Thanks guys xnx
