I have a grey he’s 35 years old. Amazing bird!! Have had him since since he was 2 months old. I have a question he has an amazing amount of red feathers. His neck is ringed with red feathers along with his entire stomach. Rare???
I don't think it's rare to see some red feathers. Timber has a few and has had them since he came to me. Some have more than others. As Greytness said, it gives them character!
That's called red factor. Some greys have a lot of red feathers while some only have a feather or two. Personally I think it gives them a bit of character!
It's perfectly fine.
