He hates getting sprayed on. Big no no with him 😂 Usually he just has a shower where he can go on and off the stream of water. Sometimes gets to exited and too wet to the point of not being able to fly VID_46760723_213929_318.mp4

I'm worried about my grey today. He has been sleeping all day today and he never did this before. He's 1 1/2 years old. Weaned from a baby by me. He doesn't even want to eat or drink today. Just sleep. He went to bed at his usual time last night. Nothing has changed.

Hello All We have a almost 6year old Grey named Rio. He talk he squawks and makes all kinds of sounds. Usually a happy fellow except for this new scruffy feathers he got. Maybe its just a big moult... but for some reason I feel its something else. Basically he has got feathers that look half bitten off. He also started kinda being more aggressive with his cleaning. Using a fine misting bottle to spritz them down in between bathing. Since this is new behavior, he could have something else bothering him, whether it's a hormonal surge or perhaps an underlying infection or metal toxicity from beaking on cheap bells, etc.

How often does he bathe or have a spritzer bath? I'd bump up the baths for one. He looks like he's over preening his feathers. If he's feeling dry and itchy he might be messing with his feathers more.

If this is a change in behavior for him, then I would take him into the vets tomorrow. When they show signs of illness or lethargy, they are often pretty sick. Please don't wait.

My congo was doing this 4 about 2 weeks. My vet said they will fall while sleeping if they get startled. However, I would take him to the vet 4 full blood work and follow the others advice about diet.
