  2. He's a beautiful boy. Would love to know how the other guy is doing. I have a soft spot for the ones that end up in crappy situations.

  3. Sydney? He's doing really well! The only issue that I'm having is whenever I enter the room or interact with him, he immediately turns into a little horn dog, snorting and everything. But he's happy and has really come out of his shell.

  4. Here are a few recent pics of Flynn. He flies around the aviary as if he owns the world! Very confident grey, and quite similar to Maalik in personality. Not sure if he's from the same parents as Maalik, but it's very possible.

  5. Good morning i have a question my Grey has been making a high pitched sound every time he sees me the last few weeks. Also spending more time on bottom of cage with a couple of toys. He is a male and has not wanted to come out with me as much just stay in and play by himself. His appetite and droppings are normal.his weight is the same. Just a high pitch chirp instead of saying words like he used to. Had him for 3 years since a baby. The only thing new I took on a baby Green Cheek Conure who requires a lot of attention. Could he be jealous?

  6. Does he do anything else, such as lower his wings or make regurg motions?

  7. Someone experienced with birds will be able to towel a bird to do a nail trim. My groomer is terrific with Dorian. For her nail and beak trims are a two person job, one holds the towelled bird, one does the trimming, then I come in and rescue him from the bad ladies lol. Believe me, he's trying his best to bite them during this process. Is there a bird club in your area. Contact a member and ask them who they use. I found mine by asking in a pet store that has a resident, and aggressive, amazon. Knocking him out is just too risky IMHO.

  8. I used to steam clean the carpets in dad's home and I wouldn't bring Dorian upstairs until they were 100% dry and the smell had vanished. Open up the windows to help get the smell out. I'd do it before the weather turns and you can take them outside.

  9. Thanks for the reply. To be honest Mika has got back to his normal self, think he was probably having a bad week or so.lol. Completely the same affectionate and playful self. I have a feeling he may have got scared of something and blamed me for it.lol. I had fallen asleep for a tad and was woken by him on the bed (he has a whole bedroom to himself with tv, DVD, UV lamp etc etc) wanting a head scratch and wanting me to play ball.....

  11. Mika is a good healthy looking grey. I can't offer much advice on the terrible twos because I got Dorian after he'd been through them, but do a search in the training room. There's a thread in there about body language of a grey. Maybe you shouldn't allow him on your shoulder for a while.
