  1. Typical grey trait I guess! Timber certainly gives me the cold shoulder if I leave him for more than a day. Glad things are "back to normal!"
  2. LOL! That could well be his favorite noise. Timber has a few that he seems to relish repeating...
  3. Hello and welcome to you and Congo! I have to say that your experience so far sounds pretty normal for a rehome so far. That's what I did and it took about 3 months for things to normalize and Timber to start to trust me. God luck and God bless
  4. Can't see the pics!
  5. If it were me, I'd see another vet. A sedative for plucking is not the route I would go. I would be spraying him with 100% aloe juice.
  6. Thank heavens! And thank you for posting.
  7. Those are really nice pics! Pretty baby
  8. His colors are really starting to show! Awesome
  9. That would be about 510 grams. Wow.
  10. The first thing I would do is call the vets office and ask what weight they recorded for Alex. The vet could have misspoke or you could have misunderstood.
  11. Great update! Glad to hear you are recovering too. I must admit I have a little "communication" envy! I cannot get Timber to say much of anything when I am in the room. I have to sneak around the corner to hear him vocalize. Lucky you and lucky Inara
  12. Great idea! Wow, it seems that he almost doubles his weight daily. I know that's now true, but amazing how quickly he grows!
  13. I thought the same Sterling. That would be an enormous grey! When Alex is upset is his breast bone (not sure that is the correct term) very prominent? That is what my vet said they look at to determine "thinness."
  14. Hello and welcome to you and Winston! He's a beautiful bird. Good luck and God bless
  15. What a neat video! Thanks for posting
  16. I wouldn't worry about the name at all. Your bird certainly won't care!
  17. Cats are like greys that way, some are picky and some are not. My Siamese (pure breed) will eat shoe leather if it smells like tuna and anything else. I have an alley cat who will eat only Purina One dry food. Period.
  18. LOL Happy birthday anyway! I feel you pain. I sprout, shred and cook my little heart out too and Timber gives it the cold shoulder. When dad eats his pizza spaghetti, he is all about that!
  19. Ah, wondered why I couldn't find it! Thanks for the info.
  20. Hello and welcome to you and Izzy! Great pics FYI
  21. LOL! Obviously, your toes are his competition for mama toes...
  22. Whoa what a whopper! I was just thinking that in another few days he will be double Timber's weight and Timber is full grown!
  23. Looks like Alex is very interested in the toy and not leery of it at all. It's a winner! Second the Accappella's comment on the bell though.
  24. Awww... Rex is a beauty!
  25. Nice palace and beautiful birds!
