How much wood could a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood? We've been having a lot of wildlife around lately, so i'd figure I'd share some of my pictures. A bunch of them are blurry cause i tried to crop them smaller to see them better, since they were so far away. ^woodchuck/groundhog, whichever you would prefer ^turkeys ^red fox. I woke up one morning and saw him walking at the edge of our property, so i jumped out of bed and grabbed my camera. This was taken through a screened window. ^red-tailed hawk, he killed a bunny in our yard ^We've been seeing this deer all over, she doesnt seem very afraid of us. That's all, I hope you enjoy!! If you guys have any pictures of wildlife around where you live, don't be afraid to share them. Melissa

Never leave a laptop out where a bird could get it..or this may happen:  Oh, and the ipod/headphones/various cords nearby? She didnt touch them. This is after snapping on a bunch of keys. which is what im currently typing with. So in conclusion, dont lave a laptop open. Melissa

I'm starting to get real lazy around here, with talon talking as much as she is. For example, if she's chewing something that we dont want her to chew on, she'll go "hey!" or say "talon!" in an aggravated voice. So i dont even have to tell her not to, she does it herself.(Granted, i do have to actually get her to stop chewing it, she wont stop on her own.) If the phone rings, she's answer it! Not physically of course, but she'll say hello, call my brother, answer ok, say bye, etc. But my favorite thing that she does is answer for me. Like just a few minutes ago, my mom told me something, and just as i was about to say okay, Talon said it for me. Do you guys have any stories to share about your birds talking? Melissa

Thanks guys!!! Hi Heather! Horses can sleep standing up like you said, but if they are really comfortable then they sleep laying down. They are alot of work. For example, what I need to do everyday is feed them in the morning, let them out into the pasture(which my mom does when i have school ) clean the stalls, make sure they have fresh hay and water, enough bedding, measure the grain for that night and morning, let them in and feed them. I usually clean stalls at night before i let them in, and it takes about an hour and a half, depending how fast i work I also try and ride once a day. Normally i use the weekends for chores that i put off during the week, like cleaning out the buckets, or cleaning the pasture. So they are alot of work, but at least my mom doesnt have to yell at me because I dont do anything. And my mom does help alot, including the financial part of it. I don't really mind the work though, its worth it. Melissa

^Shhh, don't tell my mom that I posted these. She wouldn't like to see that i was taking pictures instead of getting Talon off the curtain.  Should I be worried that the toy talon is destroying is a person? That's all i got. Thanks for looking! And sorry for the boring comments, i used up all my witty humor on my 8 page history final project. Thankfully we get out in like 2 weeks. Melissa

Here are some new pictures, I havent taken any new ones for a while. First off is the horses. The dark brown is Pat, the light brown is Annie, and the pony is Misty. In some of them they are wearing a flymask, its protection from the flies. Yes, they can see. ^Smile! I taught him that trick once, and now he does it all the time for a treat. ^He's taking a nap. ^getting up from a nap, I guess i woke him up. Misty's shedded out alot more since then. She likes to change color in the summer. ^This was early spring, i think around when we brought them home Talon pictures next post...
