  1. Everyone here gives excellent advice, not much to add. They do all adapt to their families routines. Your's will do the same.
  2. I have a full spectrum light that is on Talon's play cage all day. Our avian vet recommended it. I also did lots of research, and found it was highly advised for the health of your birds. Talon doesn't like to go to her cage if it's not on. She does enjoy sitting close to it. :)
  3. Nice variety Melissa!!
  4. First, let me say Welcome and Thank you for joining! Do you currently have an AG? There are a lot of threads here about breeding. If you do a forum search, you will find lots of very good information.
  5. I did read somewhere recently that you can breed a TAG with a CAG. I'll see if I can find it, as I don't remember it exactly. :huh:
  6. I don't care what you all think! Friday the 13th is still lucky for me. {Nature-000200C9}
  7. Not me!But, this ought to be fun............B)
  8. Looks like some good reading here Saturday AM!! {Feel-good-0002006B}
  9. Josh, I love your new signature line........very clever, and very true!!:lol: :lol:
  10. You got it right Judy!! :P
  11. It's okay, I don't mind helping if it's needed. It can be overwhelming to find exactly what your looking for. And if your anything like me.....you want it now!! :P
  12. Try this one for now. I'll keep looking. http://www.greyforums.net/forums/training/8628-needs-effective-method-in-handling-grey.html#8705
  13. There are a few topics here about this. I'll search for them and post them here for you as soon as I find them.
  14. Oh, don't worry.........we can take it!! :pinch:
  15. He doesn't know that! Sing away, he'll love it!!:woohoo: :woohoo:
  16. I have heard that is the case. Strange what dates an do to people. :side: :silly: :pinch:
  17. He will probably start to pick up words, just be patient and talk to him a lot. He has some adjusting to do still, and bonding with you. In time, he will settle in and surprise you!:laugh:
  18. Nice one Judy! I was born on FRIDAY THE 13TH of May. So naturally it doesn't bother me. I actually think the opposite......that it's Good Luck, seeing as how I was born on it!! {Feel-good-000200A2}
  19. Amanda, How did your vet appt. go? :huh:
  20. Geoff, it will startle him at first, so keep it low, but after a while, he won't even notice it! And if you are singing as well, he'll love it even more!!:woohoo:
  21. That's for sure, Judy!! :silly: Beccy, I agree with you, there's nothing like it!!:lol:
  22. Talon

    what a day!

    Oh, So Cute!! :cheer:
  23. Geoff, my son plays his electric guitar in the next room, not too, too loud, but enough to annoy us. Talon has gotten used to it, she loves music, and is not scared by loud sounds. We have 4 kids, and it can get noisy here! So, keep up the music. Talon will try to sing, and just say,"Laaaaaaaa,Laaaaaaaa," as she doesn't know the words. So cute! :silly:
  24. Bondsmom, I buy fresh veggie cubes from a lady near me that she makes and sells for birds. She also boards all types of birds. I have discussed boarding with her in length, as we have no one to take care of Talon if we ever need to leave her. She said that she has never had a bird show any signs, other than being a little quieter the first couple of days. She said they come around very quickly, and adjust well. I'm sure it will be much harder on you, than her. Just think how happy she will be to finally see you! It will go quickly, and before you know it, you'll be back home.
  25. Joe, sounds like he's doing very well. Like Cd & Judy said, he does need his own cage asap. It helps them to feel safe and secure when you are not right there with him. Keep us updated, I'm looking forward to hearing all your "firsts" with him! :cheer:
