NicoleA Posted June 17, 2009 Posted June 17, 2009 Do you remember the other message i wrote: http://www.greyforums.net/component/option,com_joomlaboard/Itemid,27/func,view/catid,7/id,139074/ It was about my "new" parrot. He'd always bite.. I would like to say thanks for all your attention and tell you all that he is become so sweet. Know i kan show him my hand and say "klø" then i put his head down.. Klø means scratch in danish.. And when i say "dans" he start to dance And now he talks a lot but only if he is alone in the room. Today is the first day when i show him my hand and i go up and stand. I'd always showed him a stick and said "up" and then he standed on it and i could take him with my hands.. Sorry if you don't understand what i am saying.. I speak Danish, and i only learn English in school
judygram Posted June 17, 2009 Posted June 17, 2009 We told you with some time and patience he would come around. He was biting because he was new to your home and he needed time to settle in and evidently he has now and more of his true personality is showing thru. I am so glad to hear he is a sweet bird, not to say that he may never bite you again as he might but watch his body language and you will know when he shows the signs. I hate to ask but when are we going to see some pictures besides the one in your avatar? Don't worry about your english, I can understand what you are saying.
Luvparrots Posted June 17, 2009 Posted June 17, 2009 Hi Nicole, so glad that Rubbi is being such a sweet companion to you now. It sounds like he has really settled in nicely. I wish I could teach my litte Ana Grey to dance. Can't wait to see some pictures and videos if you have any to share. Your English is great!!! I wish I could speak or write another language. Karma to you for being being so patient with Rubbi!!!
Char Posted June 17, 2009 Posted June 17, 2009 I am so glad it is working out. He just needed a little time to adjust to his new surroundings.
Janfromboone Posted June 17, 2009 Posted June 17, 2009 I read your earlier post about the biting. It sounds like you have done such a good job with your bird.
