Mango Seed

Recommended Posts

Hi Everyone

I was sharing some mangos with Kookie, and he stole the seed and started eating the mango of it, I didnt pay attention to him while he was busy eating but then I noticed him digging inside the seed and eating the white stuff inside of it.

Do I need to be worried? Cos he seemed very happy to eat it and it was almost impossible taking it away from him

Any help???

I know some seeds are quite toxic but I am not sure if the Mango seeds are or not. Hopefully, someone with more knowledge will answer about them. Untill then I wouldn't let him get to anymore of the seeds. Watch him carefully in the time being to see if shows any bad signs.

Hi

I took the seed from him after a small run and hide, but he seems doing quite fine today, pooping fine and more naughty than ever. The only thing is that as he was eating his corn on the cob, he seemed a little crazy attacking the corn and rubbing his while face on it...LOL

Great picture!!! Looks like he is loving that corn.:woohoo: That's how mine are with corn on the cob too. It's mess but I love watching them enjoy it so much. It gets everywhere and corn goes flying when they shake their heads. Big hit at our house! Thanks for sharing the photo.

Corn is a big hit with my two birds too, in fact Josey tears up the entire cob, makes it into tiny pieces and throws a lot of it all around her but I am sure she manages to eat some of it. Sunny will take the kernals and eat the inside out of it and leave the hulls.

Thanks for sharing that photo of Kookie and his corn.
