Joolesgreyuk
I'm so sorry you're having a hard time atm Natasha but look on the bright side of it, you are having the gland removed swiftly and you are getting your flu out of the way before (according to uk newspapers - sensationalist? Probably) the swine flu pandemic hits in the autumn. Come next year it probably won't be your turn to get flu. BTW - you actually get winters in SA??? {Feel-good-0002006E}

Azzie
Ask your doc for a mild sedative, like some Valium or something, just to take the edge off. As for the flu, drink whiskey, apparently it cures everything. Not that I would know 'coz I don't drink. Hope you get well soon!
Tycos_mom
My mom never drank a drop of liquor except when she had the flu then before bed she would have an oz of whisky mixed with boiling water abd in the morning she always felt better so mabie there is somthing to this whiskey cure it worked for mom. Azzie
Another old fashioned Dutch "cure" for a stuffed nose is to tuck a peeled onion under your armpit, and carry it there. Apparently the fumes will unblock the nose. I'm not sure I could stand the actual smell of an onion under my pit lol.
