Thanks for sharing that video with us Julie, they are magnificent birds and very gentle in spite of that very large beak.

 

We have a member of our bird club who used to have 2 of these birds but she has recently had to give them both up due to her ill health, she used to being them to our annual bird fair for everyone to enjoy.

Oh that is impressive Judy, I bet everyone made a fuss of those birds.

They did and she always referred to them as the gentle giants but man they could make a mess and crack brazil nuts with their beaks, certainly capable of much damage if they wanted.

I love them so much the are so beautiful In my opinion there are very few birds that match their beauty the Bald Eagle is one the Black Palm Cockatoo is another and all 3 are way to much bird for me.

Yes they are and I agree with your three choices of beautiful large birds and they are best admired from a small distance.
