GorgASS Posted May 12, 2009 Posted May 12, 2009 i read somewhere the other day that said coffee makers have ptfe's (the non-stick pans stuff). has anyone else heard this and does anyone know if it's true? i love my coffee!!! do i need to stop using my coffee maker or move it?
Azzie Posted May 12, 2009 Posted May 12, 2009 Maybe call the manufacturer of your coffee machine and ask if they use that teflon stuff in your model?
Dave007 Posted May 12, 2009 Posted May 12, 2009 Nothing for nothing people but let's not get carried away. No coffee makers will cause any type of problems. The other day, someone said that regular lightbulbs have a coating of teflon in the glass. Again, let's not get crazy. Good news is that you all can wake up tomorrow and have your coffee as usual and you can actually turn your lights on when doing it.
judygram Posted May 12, 2009 Posted May 12, 2009 I wonder what they will say has teflon in it next, is nothing safe anymore:ohmy: well thanks Dave for letting me know I can continue to have my morning jolt with no birds being harmed, what would we do without you:P
danmcq Posted May 12, 2009 Posted May 12, 2009 Thanks Dave, I'm glad my birds won't die, cause I could never give up that morning Joe. The lights, well I do some of my best work in the dark. So that woouldn't be a problem.... ;-)
Luvparrots Posted May 13, 2009 Posted May 13, 2009 Whew, thank goodness we can always count on Dave to bring us all back into reality!!!!
